Maybe we should take our remedies in ghee.

I took a Indian cooking class 35 years ago from someone who had learned
cooking from the Hindu wife of the pundit teaching meditation. I was told that
the medicinal substances of herbs comes out when cooked in ghee. I wondered
about the current use of turmeric pills, etc., especially since reading that
major stores in America are selling adulturated herbal supplements with
nothing of the herbal dna in them. Add that to this idea that something like
turmeric is supposedly useless as an anti-inflammatory unless cooked in
ghee..I did some research and came up with the site listed below. In this
article it says that the the ghee brings the herb to all the tissues. Is this
revolutionary? I don't know. Maybe all food or herbs eventually get to the
tissues. So after I ate the chocolate cake the other day and got a contractive
pain in my gut...I heated some good butter(not ghee) with some turmeric and
sipped about 4 teaspoons of it. I have to say the contractive pain pretty much
just went away...just like that. I used good pasture raised cows butter..I
don't know if that is what makes the difference. The cheap butter would bring
other junk to your tissues, I suppose. So that's it folks....I don't know what
this means in scientific language..brings to all the tissues as opposed (or
not) to what usually happens.
