In 1991­ the year that Bill Clinton announced his candidacy for president, to put into perspective how not very long ago 1991 was­the CDC counted 27,786 cases of measles. The vast majority of you reading these words were in elementary through college that year. Now you tell me if you remember the media hysteria over the Great Measles Epidemic of 1991 because I was alive and well and I don't remember a word of it.

I don't remember Dan Rather calling for parents to re-vaccinate their already-vaccinated children, don't remember Phil Donahue having a celebrity guest call for unvaccinated children to wear ID bracelets, and I don't remember Oprah telling non-vax families to keep to their own kind.

Even in 1992 the vaccination rate of toddlers in the western world was only between 55% to 65%.

Where was the vaccination war then?

Where was the fear?

Where were the nightly news reports, the hate pieces in Time, the parents demanding to know who is vaccinated and who isn't at any given daycare?

Did people even think to ask about vaccination status? And yet, somehow, we all peacefully coexisted in our neighborhoods and schools.

This doesn't even make sense! If vaccines are effective, what are the vaccinated people worried about?

Part of the problem is that almost all parents are young and do not have the memory or perspective that older and wiser people do. And it doesn't help any that we have a Disney inspired culture that worships youth and eschews older, more experienced, and wiser people.

When I was young, in the 1950's, measles was absolutely, positively no big deal. In fact, it turns out that it is BETTER than no big deal. My own experience with my little friend Blake showed me in bold and brilliant detail that getting a childhood disease was not a bad thing but rather a good thing (with the help of Rudolf Steiner's insight).

In fact the research on immune systems in the mid-1950s showed a difference in Th1 and Th2 cytokines between measles overcome naturally, and measles vaccine effects.
Specifically, the thymus - that magical gland responsible for immune system activity to our benefit, and productions of TH-1 cytokines - gets stronger after overcoming measles naturlly (or any other diosease naturally).
Instead EVERY vaccine destroys and involutes the thymus, vastly raising Th-2 (antibody related) cytokines out of all proportion to any leftover thymus activity.
What is important to remember, is that the THYMUS and its Th-1 cytokines (chemicals to trigger immune system activity) is responsible for ALL immune system activity, whether it is a cancer, lupus, arthritis, bacteria, virus, measles, allergy or any other external insult to the system.
SO... why do we need antibodies?
If the thymus can do it all, wht are antibodies for?
Turns out the antibody system is a backup system, for in case there are too many orgaqnisms invading, or chemicals invading, for the thymus to take care of. Then the antobnpdy troops arre called in,. They are NOT designed to be the one and only line of defence as is FORCED by vaccinations. After all antibodies have VERY lijited capabilities - they can only increase actioj against multitudinous invaders. They cab DO NOTHING to help any chronic disease.
SO as soon as we vaccinate - then - instead of using measles and chickenpox to ENHANCE the thymus against later chronic disease - all we do is destroy any ability we mighty have hgas, to ward off cancers and other chronic disease.
In fact it is so bad that nowadays it is claimed that the thymus "naturally atrophies".
Well if you call vaccines natural...
My grandmother (the one who lived to be 105) told me "If you do not use it, you lose it".
CLEARLY this applies to the thymus.
With all the vaccines in usa, we not only are failing to use the thymus for its job, but we are actively destroying it, more with every vaccine given. And then we wonder why cancer and other chronic disease is so rife.
How can it not be when we spend outr lives destroyiong its all-important anti-chronic disease functionality.

My own attitude with my kids was to ensure they DID catch measles, chickenpox etc at a time when they were relatively healthy. They had a very mild time of it. The folks next door, did the same with their three kids, and we went on vacation with our poxy kids to the coast. They all did very well, got an improved thymus function and came home healthier than before.

My own history was much sadder. I got vaccinated weekly for ages. My mom thought more was better (having seen so many die in epidemics when she was a child). I got all the childood diseases anyway, some (whooping cough) more than once after vaccination.
But I suspect I had too little thymus left to help much.

Do you have links to published research that discusses these issues?
This would be useful when trying to convince friends, relatives why not to vaccinate.
While your explanations are clear, it's not convincing to those who need to see something official looking.
Feedback I've gotten is, why haven't I heard about this, why don't doctors know about this, etc.
Possibly this research could form a basis to request an exemption from vaccination as most exemptions are for religious or philosophical reasons which could be denied if mandatory vaccinations become the norm. When hysteria takes hold, common sense goes out the window.
Current media hype portrays those who support vaccination choice as questionable like NJ Gov Christie, various senators, some have backpedaled not to rock the vax boat during this current measles outbreak and appeal to majority vax potential voters. Obama whom during his campaigning supported vax choice, now says everyone s/b vaccinated.
Hilary Clinton, who may run for USA President, wrote yesterday, "The science is clear, The earth is round, the sky is blue, and #vaccineswork. Let's protect all our kids. #GrandmothersKnowBest."

Well, Ebola is winding down so the media need something else to get hysterical about.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out politically. I don't think coerced vaccination is going to go over well with the libertarian types.

I have been trying to find it.
It used to be in the PubMed online files - namrly the Natiopnal Library of Medicine.
But I see that all the files from that time have been removed. The oldest files currently on line are about 1970.

That effectively hides all the valuable resdearch from the 1950s and 60s which included most of the nutrient research and also the early extensive immunology research (before vaccinations were such a powerful moneymaker)............. and finding anything without a search engine is about impossible to try to find the records by hand in a library.
I do not have a record in my own files, having made the incorrect assumption that I could always find it easily at PubMed.

S0 I am not sure how to find the information.
Does anyone here have access to old journals of immunology for example?
