Need advice re: bronchitis type symptoms

Hi,
I've been reading this group for years, I am not a homeopath nor do I pretend to be. I just find the subject interesting.
I would like some remedy advice please if it is appropriate to ask. Please delete if against forum rules.
This is day 6 of a terrible dry cough, violent spells that doesn't seem to be getting better. My runny nose is better today but the cough is not. Worse at night lying down but pretty bad during the day sitting up too. Loud, dry, non-productive cough. shortness of breath when talking and walking. Wheezing during restful breathing. i do smoke cigarettes (don't judge) but I have not smoked this week. There is no way I could and I can smoke thru anything unfortunately. My back, tummy and head are sore from coughing so much. Drinking plenty of fluids, no appetite for food.
I have 2 homeopathy home kits...30C and 200C so if someone could kindly recommend a remedy, chances are I will have it. Thank you in advance.
I have been under the care of a homeopath on and off for years (long distance-email only) but she didn't respond to my latest update which was a couple of months ago so I hesitate to reach out to her now. I don't know if she is not well or if she is just tired of trying to help me (chronic issue).
Kind Regards,
Deb

Hello Deb,

Do you have mucus that looks like egg white ? Feels like you are choking with it but nothing comes out when you blow your nose? Throat tickles and feels like the mucus is all post nasal?
I had that one for about two weeks sx kept changing on me, but I used remedies for the stages of it. Spongea helped that dryness, drossera and Rumex for the choking post nasal drip and finally ended it with China.
You might think of Arnica for the strained muscles.

I dont know what that is but it took a long time to shake. Not greatly sick, low fever and alternated chills and heat, it started to move to the upper part of the lungs. All upper respiratory for the most part. It is everywhere also from what I am hearing. I used the indicated remedies and changed the remedies when the sx changed.

Kali bic and pertussis remedies may also be indicated.

Good luck, use your materia medica to pick the best remedies and Chang them when needed, in a few occasions I took the indicated remedy almost hourly.

I've also been sick 2 weeks. Each cold stage wasn't too severe until I went out two nights ago when wind chill was below zero. Then yesterday had severe sinus pressure, sore throat, some coughing and no hunger didn't eat all day. Seems the cold air caused sinusitis and worsened situation. Also humidity in my apt was 20% sinuses felt raw and running the shower got it up to 90% for a few hours.
I looked at Kali Bic and Hep Sulph which seemed the closest but haven't taken. Mucus isn't that much. I think it's the Kali that has rubric symptoms appear and disappear, which is what I'm having. I feel much better then comes back.
Wanted to go out today since will be above freezing before another temperature plunge tonight and all weekend.
Non-homeopathically, I used 50mg zinc gluonate 2x/day, which seemed to lessen severity.
Oil of oregano and elderberry extract which are antiviral didn't do much.

Going out on a limb here but China helped a lot. Seemed to stop the alternating and improved a lot. Mentioned it to daughter and she decided it was the genus epidemicus for this and just gave it out to her family members at first sign of sx and it worked. No, she is not a homeopath but a decent student. It does seem to be working though. Let me know if you try it.

This is so bad because for the most part was not really sick and kept relapsing when I pushed it. REST is the only way. If I stressed my body in any way it still returns.

I had an unopened tube of Cina 12C expired 2000 so took a water dose of 2 pills in 4 oz. water.
Cina rubrics looked good for many things. Haven't felt any difference yet in 1/2 hour but may need another dose.
For a one year old baby who has cold but not flu (haven't heard all the symptoms yet), what would be dosage assuming they could easily buy 6, 12 or 30C in a local store?
What did help a-lot last night was chicken soup, felt much better within half an hour.

I would leave the one year old baby alone and let his/her body learn how to fight a cold. I actually refuse to treat colds with homeopathy as I believe a cold is toxins coming out of the body and needs to be left alone to do the job. I do take Vit C , zinc and Echinacea through. With the cold I am just getting over, which I wasn’t ill with, the catarrh was so bad I have also been using Elderflower tincture as I had it in and a herbal mixture of tinctures I made up myself to cope with the coughing up the clear mucus on my chest. Herbal I look on as palliative- rather than curative like homeopathy.
I am not a qualified herbalist but have done enough courses in the past to treat myself and others if need be. I have a stock of about 50 tinctures. We were also taught a bit at homeopathy college and how to use it in drops as organ support .

Thanks Rochelle.
Unfortunately, baby's mother gave baby a Hyland's homeopathic combo last night, now says baby was better then had a relapse but that could be a rubric of this type of cold.
http://hylands.com/products/hylands-4-k ... %99n-cough
That's 7 remedies at once, I was hoping to suggest ONE remedy.
I'm not in direct contact only through grandmother. All I heard so far is baby was congested, phlegmy chest.
So do nothing??

Make sure there is steam in the room and put some olbas type oil into it. It will also get the homeopathic combo out of baby’s system. Possibly one of the remedies was correct but mum will have repeated it as suggested on the pack and messed it all up!!

OK, thanks. Grandmother also panicked when she saw Puls 6X in combo as she's taking Puls 200C for female constitutional issues and other heavy duty stuff and I had to explain differences, etc. X vs C, ....
Then I had to explain about why NOT to take flu shots! ;)

What about more China for you along with mega vitamin therapy (Vit D3, Vit C, and probiotics).
For the baby, need more symptoms: color of mucous, clingy or not, etc.
