Strophanthus is oubain or Kombe seed? I read up on Stroph...and it is all
about the heart and it is made in tincture form as well as potencies.
"Increases the systole and diminishes the rapidity". One drop of tincture
caused an alcoholic to completely turn away from alcohol. I can't find the
connection between oubain and stroph. but the article says they are the same.

There is a difference between plant ouabain and animal ouabain (struturally different isomers), and the plant version comes in high amounts from the plant from which strophanth is made - and which is used to poison arrow tips, and which poison is also called ouabain.

Plant Ouabain used to be used before digitalis - their actions are similar.
