This is well worth your while reading. An excellent article, which I came across via Dr Aseem Malhotra on twitter! I guess is nothing that we didn't know, but it's nice to see their house of cards being gradually undermined. Let's take a guess as to which of the mainstream media will feature the story -:) Vested interests have corrupted 'evidence based medicine'

WHen are the deaths caused going to be included in their "evidence base"?

Seems to me the evidence base is worthless if it results in that many deaths!
They need some other base besides "evidence base" - one that results in safe health care.

Else what use is it to have a "base of evidence"?

I just left a comment there that perhaps they should adopt science-based medicine, which should necessarily include the theory of evolution, diet, lifestyle, sleep, etc. It would at least be a start.
