Invest in Kenyan homepaths and help create stability in their livelihoods.

Kiva.org is an online microfinancing website connecting lenders with
entreprneual borrowers. Within Kiva there is another programme called
KIVA-ZIP Abha Light Foundation is a Kiva-zip
trustee, a non-paid position.

There are plenty of projects pioneering homeopathy in Africa. Many
are training homeopaths. Abha Light is among the oldest, established
in 1998. We have taught homeopathy to many but few could make it as
their careers. As you well know, this is a common story in
alternative practice not unique to Africa. Only in Africa, its that
much more tough as alternative, natural medicine is new and what
we're trying to do is very unique.

Helping to stabilize young people in their careers is not an easy
task, though Abha Light continues to help as much as we can with
infrastructural support.

Most (not all) of Abha Light's Kiva borrowers are practicing
homeopaths and naturopaths that are trying to establish themselves.
The Kenyan practitioners often must augment their incomes with other
small business endeavours - shops and kiosks, farms, canteens, etc.

Kiva-Zip is a practical way to help entrepreneural practitioners
directly. These are interest-free loans, and the money is paid back.
Later,if you choose, you can recycle your loan to another entrepreneur.
