Criticizing other writers

This group is getting pretty controversial in many ways.
I think the problem is the different levels of understanding from the writers.
Many of us (professional homeopaths) like this group as it is a great place to share information and pick up some prescribing tricks.
Many homeopaths, self included, are sometimes happy for a few other 'suggestions' when we get a tough case or when we are looking for another 'angle' to get into a case or another way to think of a case. At times like that I have been very grateful and thankful for those of you who have offered some remedy or treatment suggestions.
And, there are the students, and I love students, and after all are we not all still students?, who are looking for a greater understanding of what we as professional homeopaths do, some have asked wonderful questions and have generated some fantastic debates. My undying gratitude goes out to many of you who have expanded my horizons and taught me so much. Thank you.
Then there are the 'unknown' writers, where we have no idea at all of the level of training the writer has received. Letters such as. 'what to do for X condition', tells us nothing of the writer, for all we know it could be someone who read homeopathy is effective and has a problem and wants to know what remedy to take for it. Most of the time I consider this a professional group and do not think I need to preface every comment with 'take the full case', etc, I myself have been guilty of throwing out some remedies without warning the readers of caution. And yes, imo we have a kind of moral obligation to suggest caution and proper case taking.
We are all entitled to our own opinions and all have our own limitations, I have more than once been guilty of using the 'short, easier to understand version' of what I perceive was a student question and had sacrificed accuracy when making that statement.
We can jump on each other and expect more, or we can just take what we get and allow some flexibility for personality differences. And that does NOT mean I do not appreciate those who jump in with good, detailed information for a short, perhaps less than accurate statement.
So, let's get back to homeopathy. I enjoy most of the postings here and delete the ones that I either do not like or sometimes ones I just do not have time to read because I have had a busy day or week.
Controversial, difficult or not I do appreciate all of you.

The issue isn't personality differences.
Group Description
MINUTUS group was founded by Dr Ardavan Shahrdar in 2000 and is now one of the most active homeopathy discussion e-groups.
The aim of MINUTUS discussion group is to share useful information on classical and Hahnemannian homeopathy.
The issue is upholding the "aim" that this group is supposedly about.
If this has changed and Minutus is now a general complementary alternative medicine and homeopathy discussion group, there are plenty of chiropractors, CAM practitioners, faith healers who offer combo remedies and say they do homeopathy which most of their clientele accepts w/o knowing even to question, so why not include discussions on that?
I can also provide detail on some of the dozens of supplements I have and currently taking most helpful pycnogenol, inositol, SOD, NAC, carnosine, black cumin seed oil, Ginsana and herbal supplements gotu kola, Dr. Vogel's hawthorn, fenugreek, bilberry, dandelion, Dr. Christopher's Pancreas Formula, valerian, lemon balm since some may be addressing maintaining causes in addition to vitamin D, sublingual B-12, magnesium, 5 various probiotic products, flaxseed oil, fish oils.
There are plenty of forums, groups, lists where we can find info and discuss all of these more in depth
There are those already enlightened to the genius of Hahnemann, who may desire exploring the nuances of classical homeopathy and further their own understanding by freely think tanking with others. By doing so also keeps these concepts alive, fresh and distinct from other healing modalities. Then why are discussions of it, which may educate newcomers to homeopathy along with those grappling to comprehend all there is to about classical homeopathy, including elaborating on posts that are informative but clearly deviate from classical homeopathy and the "aim" of Minutus,, being squelched and considered bad form?
Is there a better place where we should be discussing classical Hahnemannian homeopathy?
And not feeling ostracized for doing so?

The issue I think is that the same ideas keep being discussed with no further understanding or resolution.
Some people will not let go of an argument unless they get to be right while attacking others. It gets very
tedious and unproductive.

Hi "t",
Surely there must be a rubric(s) for this symptom. As a group, we could rep the case and suggest a remedy.
Would be nice to return to civil conversations.

Agree on both points.
But reminds me of a teacher I had years ago. Class said he needed Platina
but knew he would never take it.

Not Platina.
Platina makes sure they have the details before presenting a case so it sounds firm but they are open minded to new information and ideas. Plat also would be open to taking Plat. So not Plat.
Rationalizing and then believing his own story, plus the enjoyment of hurting others points more to Ars IMO, as does intolerance, perseverance and disposition to slander. Maybe your teacher needed ars.
(One individual's constant one-sided disruption and arguing does not need to monopolize the group. It is simple to filter emails elsewhere. )
Namaste,
Irene

On the other hand, I had a plating who, when told what he was on, was delighted - "aurum is so common", he proclaimed.

Oh, I really don’t know. What I do know is that he shouldn’t have been teaching.
