MSM report

Dear Y'all,

I hope that you will try MSM. Make sure that you take vitamin C every time that you take the MSM. The vitamin C greatly helps with the MSM. My family takes 1 gram of MSM in pill form per every time they take their vitamins. But getting them to take their vitamins is like trying to pull teeth without a pain killer, so they are not very consistent.

I greatly prefer the time released ester-C. If the vitamin-C is not time released, then you just pee out a great deal of the C and waste your money and don't get any benefit 4 hours from the time that you take it.

I have been doing some seriously strenuous weight lifting over the past 5 days, and I have absolutely, positively NO stiffness or pain whatsoever from this heavy exercise. I had not done any resistance training for at least a year, but still no stiffness or pain. This is because I am taking 15 grams of MSM every day. Normally after such a long time of no exercise, I should be fubar (fouled up beyond all recognition) with regard to the stiffness. But it is not merely less; it is completely non-existent. That says a lot about the power of MSM.

REMEMBER to start very slowly, like 1 gram per day for a couple of days, and if that is OK, go to two grams, and so on. You will get a Herxheimer reaction. A Herxheimer reaction is a healing crisis. Toxins will pour into your blood stream. This might give you headaches. This is why you should build up very gradually. If you started with 15 grams in the morning, you would not talk to me for the rest of your life. (:->) I increased my dosage really fast like that, and I was miserable for 1/2 of a day.

One of the big issues with MSM is not having any anti-caking ingredients. I found that this is important. But many MSM companies will tell you that their product is the only pure product. They lie. Lots of companies have pure MSM. I know that the NOW brand, which is usually always the cheapest brand of any supplement anyway, has no anti-caking ingredients. How do I know this? I don't know this because I have a chemistry lab in my basement. I know this because it cakes. How could a powder cake if it has anti-caking ingredients. Plus, the label says that it contains only MSM.

Sincerely,
Roger Bird
