The stiffness seems to be mainly in R shoulder. He is reluctant to bear weight on R paw. He is thirsty, desires to be near you. Follows one around . Thirsty. When inside wishes to go out. When out tries to move screen door to get in. Loves his food. He is my son's dog and I am presently caring for him and adding more fresh meat to his diet. He responds quickly to doorbell .Is interested in everything and I do not think systemic disease . Pants in hot weather. Loves to be patted. Was very heavy and solid looking . Now thinner since food reduction. Aged 12 years. Can not walk very far without increase in lameness.
Any thought would be welcome,, Jean

Wished for a diagnosis and brought dog to a trusted Vet. As had responded only briefly to NSIADs and not at all to my remedies and he felt a lump on palpation concluded dog has Cancer of the shoulder.. So perhaps that is a lead into Hecla Lave and ? Carcinocin. Jean
