Layers

Dear David et al,

This brought to mind a conversation I had with a woman who was wondering if
homoeopathy could help her physical problems. She made some brief comments
about her history and problems.
She showed me a very large bruise on her leg (about 4 inches around) and
asked me whether homoeopathy could help or account for this unexplained
bruise. She said that it spontaneously arose and that being so large she
would have remembered if she had an injury. Then she went on to relate how
10 years ago she fell into this hole and that she woke up in the hospital
and didn't remember anything. Her head was apparently swollen and bruised
from head to toe.
She said that after this incident all of her seasonal troubles disappeared.
Apparently she used to get bronchitis every spring and had some other
problems, I can't remember.
It is strange because it seemed as though this was an amelioration of all of
her physical problems. But now from the discussions on layers, it appears
that this may (and I say may because I'll try to reserve judgement if I get
the chance to take the case) be an example of a strong acute suppressing the
constitutional or miasmatic layer.
Also amazing to think that she could have been in this arnica state (Hey, I
know I haven't taken the case, but it's hard not to think of arnica here)
for over 10 years. Would one not expect then that her old chronic symptoms
would return after this layer was addressed?
Hmmmm...she might prefer the state she is in now....
Anyway, I'm always appreciative of your posts David, I'm really learning a
lot!
Thanks,
Mary-anne Black
