Re: Celebrating Hahnemann

Today is Samuel Hahnemann's birthday!
Let us all take a moment to reflect on what he accomplished and how he has transformed our lives
Here's an interesting item I found when I was checking his birthdate:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Hahnemann

The coffee theory of disease

Around the start of the 19th century Hahnemann developed a theory, propounded in his 1803 essay On the Effects of Coffee from Original Observations, that many diseases are caused by coffee.[15] Hahnemann later abandoned the coffee theory in favour of the theory that disease is caused by psora, but it has been noted that the list of conditions Hahnemann attributed to coffee was similar to his list of conditions caused by psora.[16]
It's amazing how much there is to learn about Hahnemann and homeopathy, it truly is a lifelong fascinating journey.
Personally, my health relies on following classical homeopathy as best I can. I think of how my own journey began with a 10M nosode prescription in 1995 progressing now to daily LM dosing along with all the homeopaths that have treated me who I've learned from both by their successes and misses.
Let's all join together in keeping Hahnemann's spirit alive through his ideas, theories and practices, making them even more vibrant, relevant and meaningful in today's world.

Celebrating Hahnemann

Post by Carol Orr »

I looked at Hahnemann's horoscope today. He had pluto in the first house of
Sagittarius. Sagittarius ascendent is appears to be very friendly but with the
pluto there ..planet of power and things deep down...he must have been a
friendly but very imposing and magnetic figure. He also had mercury in the
third house of writing and mercury was the ruler of his sixth house of
health...so writing about health.

What I don't understand is that he had Sun and Moon in Aires in the 4th house
of the home...which makes me think his imposing personality and confidence
must have all been expressed in his home....did he work out of his home? He
might have been a bit too much for anyone else who lived with him....like
maybe a little self-centered? By the way, I'm not an astrologer...just a
hobby.

I have not looked at his chart - do you know his birth date and time and place?
I am no astrologer either, just dabble for fun.

But if you add together the insights from different systems, for example add in astrology, numerology, and ICT, it increases the overall picture of how he was.

ICT is my area ... and more than just dabbling:-)
BY ICT (Hahnemann was Sulphur ICT):
SUL types are clever and charismatic (charming, magnetic personalities) tinkerers (eg inventors) and experimenters (like to know how stuff works), who crave admiration and are very picky about quality (eg only the latest model smartphone will be good enough) .
They will have professions accordingly.
For example one SUL I know designs and runs the complicated lighting at major entertainment shows across the country.
So it fits that H wanted to tinker with remedies and figure them out and get admired for it and perfect the system he invented (tinkering and experimenting), and expose it far and wide - using his charismatic personality - and be taken seriously for it and tell everyone so as to be admired for his abilities. SIX edtions. All to get more perfect - best quality is the only one wanted by SUL. They will go where they will be admired for who/what they are and what they can do. No shortage of ego.
They can also get depressed when things go against them. But mostly they are macho types with plenty of confidence and ability to charm and entertain with fascinating conversation.
Interesting how ICT tells that he will be tinkering in experiments of high quality and that astology tells in what field (health) and by what method (writing) :-)
Both have the friendliness, charisma and magnetic personality indicated.
Dunno?
SUL is indeed self-centered, craving attention, but so charming and clever with it that they are usually well loved.
Take my SUL cat for example. The judges at shows used to fight over who got to judge his section as he could charm the birds out of the trees. He winked at the judges (and SUL has beautiful eyes), prrted and urrted in their ear, and generally turned on the charm for them in an irresistable way, also swiping pens out of ther pockets, and tossing toys about that he stole from them.

For H: Add in numerology and graphology and ??? for a fuller picture.

Namaste,
Irene

Hi Carol,
Using 10 Ap 1755@ 11:45 PM Meissen, Germany

Carol: I looked at Hahnemann's horoscope today. He had pluto in the first house of Sagittarius.

Comments:

SAGITTARIUS ON THE ASCENDENT: "Sagittarians project themselves with optimism. Their ambitions are geared to large-scale goals. They appear to be friendly, interested and jovial. However, they have a tendency to take things for granted and to think solely in terms of their own affairs and frames of reference. Their power comes from their ability to influence other people to subscribe to a system of thinking that is arranged to provide them with all the advantages. Nevertheless, the Sagittarians' optimism is a source of inspiration to those with whom they have contact." Sakoian and Acker

"PLUTO AS A PLANET is the urge to sacrifice oneself to the demands of an evolving social structure or to use every available resource to determin the form of that evolution. Pluto refers to subtle individualized sources of energy coalesced into a massive reservoir of power. It is the power that is available to large organizations, which have the economic leverage to control the destiny of man. It describes the awesome political, religious and sociological upheavals that periodically bring about a reexamination of the values that had previously sustained man. When this dynamic is used positively, it eliminates the parasitic growths that would otherwise destroy its host, man. When used negatively, it is the festering malignancy that reduces man to little more than his former animal nature. Pluto can thus represent either the advancement of each member of society or the destruction of the creative force by individuals who prey on society to satisfy their personal lust for power." Robert Pelletier

He goes on to describe PLUTO CONJUNCT THE ASCENDENT: "The conjunction of Pluto to the Ascendant means that you have the power to determine the kind of world that can be constructed from its available resources. You know how difficult it is to function and develop under environmental conditions and economic pressures that frustrate you at every turn, but it is in your grasp to arouse the people to make public officials yield to their demands. You can play an important role in urging the public to eliminate the parasites who cause decaying social conditions and the depraved human qualities that lead to them. Because you speak and conduct yourself with authority, no-one dares dismiss you as a troublesome critic. You are not easily aroused to taking action unless the situation is serious. If it is, you will use every trick you can devise to compel those responsible to take the actions that are necessary to restore order from chaos. You won't be satisfied until a system is working effectively. You don't tolerate abuse in your personal affairs either. In general you know what you want out of life, and are ready to make any investment in talent and effort to realize your goals. You defend those entrusted to your care, and the people you love know that you will protect their interests at all costs. You must guard against driving yourself or others to excess. Choose your adversaries with care, or you could antagonize someone who would deal violently with you. You tend to bring out the worst qualities in people." "

Do these combined descriptions sound like Hahnemann?

If you look in Yasgur's 'Homeopathic Dictionary'
towards the back of the book, page 286 in my copy
you will find Hahnemann's Birth Chart

Hi Lynn,

Thanks! Wasn't remembering where I'd seen it before.

There is a 5 minute time difference between the astrologolical chart I looked at and one in Yasgurs and the other one looks like a different time too. Another factor is the house system used as it can change things a little too.

If I remember correctly, the Dobereiner chart was rectified (An advanced technique using events in the persons life) so it may be the closest estimated time (11:40:12 PM/23:40:12 MEZ).

Carol,
Did you use Hahnemann's birth time 11:59pm as shown on record?
That puts Pluto in 12th house in Sag and Moon in 3rd house in Aries.
His Sun, Venus are shown as Exalted placements
while Jupiter was Detrimental and Saturn was Dominant
How would you interpret with these house differences?
A partial free online interpretation of his chart says:
You have a powerful reasoning capacity which can give shape to your intuitions and feelings, and your accurate reading of others is combined with the ability to formulate your perceptions through theories and intellectual structures. Psychology and medicine are both fields
It is this very self- definition which you may find painful, for it can bring an experience of loneliness with it; any creative work has to be done alone, and one cannot write a book, paint a painting or compose a piece of music with a committee or group.
