Looking for online support groups / forums

hi everyone,
I am looking for some kind of online support groups. I suffer from Adrenal Fatigue (trying SO very hard to recover) as well as some serious anxiety issues. I am a firm believer in holistic healing, but i think a support group of any kind might help me.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where / how to find such groups or forums?

thank you so much,
Deb :)

Hi Deb,

Been there, and Godspeed to you! Unfortunately I don't know specifically of any support groups as such, but below are three sites that I have found very useful (not just for adrenal fatigue, but also for many things including that). The second two do have a bit of a "support group" aspect to them, while the first is mainly informational, and products that were very useful to me.

Good chronic care through homeopathy, of course, could also be a huge help for you, but since you are here, I'm guessing you know that…

hi Shannon,
Thank you for your email !!! I've been working with an EFT pracitioner for quite some now and shes really wonderful and i LOVE EFT (she also does other energy type work). there are times that i feel the EFT doesnt do so much for me, because my physical body needs more support - which hopefully im getting from my new doctor.

He first tried 2 remedies with me - but when they didnt work, he did sme testing on me and saw i needed some supplements to help strengthen my body. I assume later n he'll go back to a remedy, im not sure.

I've never heard of Quantam Techniques. Have you ever tried it personally ? I'll study the website a bit more and see if it can help me.

thank you again for chiming in !!

Deb :)

Sometimes healing takes a winding path, and IMO multiple tools are useful in life.

As for Quantum Techniques -- I learned about it from a seminar by Gary Craig (the "inventor" of EFT); they are based on much of the same underpinnings. Yes, I've used Quantum Techniques a number of times, though have not found the time (etc.) to go much into the "self-help" parts of it, tho those look amazing. But over the past ten years or so, there have been a few issues (one illness; one infection; and one misc.) that I was not able to resolve through my usual tools, and he (Stephen) came through for me just brilliantly. Sometimes just one or two phone sessions, but one of the issues took a handful of sessions and a few months. Chronic things such as adrenal fatigue might sometimes take longer, I am guessing.

One thing it has in common with homeopathy is that it can really stretch (and stress) the credibility, but despite that it works deeply and beautifully.

At least that's my experience. :-)

hi Shannon,
I checked out hte website (briefly) and it sounds like things my EFT practitioner does on me !! like she "clears me" for energy toxins and food intolerances (ones i dont even realize) and other kinds of energy work in my field and stuff...

yes, it took me years to learn that a multi pronged approach is better.

Do you mind sharing with me a litlte bit about your healing journey ? (it sounded like you had experience) ... if you dont want to post publicly, perhaps we could email off the group ?

the concept of homeopathy sounds amazing - - but from what i understand (and i might be wrong so please correct me if i wrong) but it seemed like the Homeopathy cant really work if the body is deficient in things or if its too weak to do it on its own. The doc im working with loves Homeopathy and thats his Go-To thing.... and he tried two remedies on me for a few months and then he switched to testing and now im taking a bunch of supplements.

So im keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this is the solution that we've been searching for ....

Thanks again for your input -
deb :)

Hi Deb,
This book helped me greatly when I had adrenal fatigue in 2003-2004, check out the many recommendations inside.

Licorice root extract, not DGL, is very helpful and adrenals love it
You need the G part of licorice which is purposely not in widely used DGL.
Metagenics offers a line of products for stress, reducing cortisol and helping adrenals
I lived on the Licorice Plus product for a long time.
http://www.metagenics.com/products/heal ... management
I saw a holistic MD at the time, B12 injections were helpful.
Of course, lots of rest and destress are required. I had moved to S. Florida at the time which helped recovery. One aspect of adrenal fatigue is inability to cope and deal with much. Took over a year to really recover.
As for homeopathic remedies, there may be some adrenal specific and having a constitutional one would be helpful.
In Chinese TCM, since adrenals sit on the kidneys, they fall into that area of energy meridians and pulse diagnosis for TCM herbs and acupuncture purposes from what I've read.
At the time I was not taking my constitutional homeopathic remedy but had been taking a palliative one over a few years, unknown to me at that time, which may have exacerbated my overall condition. Later during that time I did start taking what is my constitutional remedy and that may have also helped in my recovery and allowed me to return to stressful NYC.
I also remember using fat burner pills prior to fatigue, which were known to lead to adrenal burnout.
Many of those have now been reformulated to avoid that nasty side effect.
Don't worry, recovery is possible!
Susan

Be sure to rule-out Lyme disease and co-infections. They are much more prevalent than people realize; particularly babesia. I wouldn't trust blood testing as it is only 60% accurate with many false negatives and very expensive. One can guess with clinical observation. A good way is to treat for Lyme/co-infections and see if there is a herxing or other reaction. I was chronically fatigued for many years but would never have guessed that I had Lyme. At the same time years of homeopathy had no effect on my health even though I was deeply interested in it. I discovered I had Lyme with the use of a biophoton machine (Chiren). It is not good news but it actually help me as I now know what has been happening. Lyme support groups are useful support for many people even if they don't think they have Lyme.
Wishing You Well!

hi Jane,
thanks so much for your suggestions... i havent had any blood work done yet --- since we knew it was moslty adrenal based. I got saliva and urine tests done (later in the year my doc wants to do blood work to check on other levels) but we have plenty to work with already with my high levels of cortisol and neurotransmitter levels too low.

I've actually looked into lyme disease slightly but it didnt seem my symptoms matched up.

Interesting to hear that homeopathy wasnt able to to help --- did you end up finding other avenues to help your lyme ? I was under the impression that Lyme can be treated with some antibiotics...

Thank you again for chiming in,

Deb :)

Hi Deb,
I also didn't seem to have Lyme symptoms and would never have known if I hadn't done the Chiren biophoton machine which uses homeopathic frequencies for healing. It is not designed to test but it can give a strong indication of what challenges are present. I understand that dark field microscopes can also give some ideas about this as can really good muscle testing like Morphogenic Field Testing.
Some people are helped with Lyme by classical homeopathy but more often not. I have been helped by the Chiren but also good detoxing and nutritional support, Byron White and DesBio formulas, parasite cleanses from Systemic Formulas, QiGong, Scalar Energy healing and Energy Healing. It is a long path of healing. Antibiotics are controversial but in my opinion are of limited use except for the first month or two after infection when they can be very useful. I probably contracted Lyme in 1983. Before that tick bite classical homeopathy was very effective but not after. No one ever put that together or treated me for Lyme or used nosodes. Apparently many people have Lyme and/or coinfections but do not know it.

Have you tried Adrenotroohin. It's basically ground up bovine adrenal glands. They go directly to your adrenals and helps to strengthen them. It's worked for me! I recommend it.
