The concept of clathrates and receptors is a lot wider and deeper than
simply confirming H's theory of an artificial disease replacing the
"real" one, then disappearing.

It confirms the Law of Similars: what else could remove, neutralise,
displace, cure a pathology than something that closely resembles what
has created it in the symptoms and signs it produces? chelation does
that with heavy metals but at the cost of being indiscriminate and
removing many useful minerals. Only a "ghost" shell would act gently
enough to free the receptors without damaging them.

It explains dose-related aggravations: too much of a pathogenetic
material released at one time will have a pharmacological action on the
rest of the body until it is eliminated; and elimination is possible
instead of having that material again fixed on other receptors because
the clathrates temporary occupy, hence block the other receptors.

It explains provings: direct action on receptors with ensuing
stimulation and appearance of symptoms and signs.

It explains grafting through multiple repetitions of a remedy where
eventually the receptors becomes fixed in an active or inactive state
and do not revert to normal any more, hence the difficulties in dealing
with a remedy grafting.

No need for complicated, intricate theories. It is simple and covers all
bases.

It took many years to prove experimentally the correctness of E=mC2. It
took years and many $$$ to physically find the boson. This should not be
too complicated or expensive: I am thinking along lines similar to
immunofluorescence or radioimmunoessay. I would imagine that some
Faculties of Homeopathic Medicine in India have the means to design and
carry on those protocols. Who knows we might get some surprising results....

The hypothesis seems still somewhat incomplete, I think:
• without taking into account entire phase regions, reliance on single clathrates to convey medicinal information suggests limiting that information to the shapes that clathrates are capable of taking;
• it therefore requires some mechanism by which receptors may differentiate between identically shaped clathrates of differing origins;
• it doesn’t address what may render an otherwise insoluble substance susceptible to clathrate formation;
• it ignores the actions of medicines other than via receptors;
• it requires that all endogenous and exogenous pathogens act on at least one receptor; and
• it appears to require that the organism itself (any organism susceptible to ultramolecular potencies, which appears to include plants) be capable of manufacturing clathrates of endogenous pathogenetic substances in response to clathrates of exogenous ones;
but, along with possible zwitterion involvement and other possibilities, this possibility does seem to hold much promise, doesn’t it.
I remain of the opinion that it would be very interesting to be able to fill in these gaps, and that doing so may suffice to make it a complete hypothesis as to how ultrapotencies maintain the medicinal action of their base medicinal substances, and therefore enable it to serve as a potential explanation for the ability of ultrapotencies to maintain medicinal action (homoeopathic and otherwise). That would nail down the lid on the coffin of medical materialism, wouldn't it!

What about this direction, in Sweden, for research; I hunted down her name:
Lenz, Annika (Linköping University, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Physical Chemistry ) (Linköping University, The Institute of Technology)

She has done research on Methane clathrates - comparing computed structure to actual structure measured, and finding three versions , figuring some are empty etc. Her main interest is possibly in energy usage as she is wondering if safely releasing methane from clathrates on the ocean floor can be a way to harness energy. She is also concerned that global warming can release the methane in an uncontrolled way so the clathrate splits into methane plus ice. She finds there are three clathrate structures for methane and a transition between them according to pressure/temperature.

I'm suggesting she has the technology and the know-how to work with clathrates. See:

Her mathematics is very involved, as there are a lot of factors she explains are needed and which prevent schroedinger equation use in pure form, but the details are "bo my vuurmaakplek" these days; her diagrams and results tables are more my scene.
Whether she'd be interested in homeopathy applications - or know someone who may be - is another issue.

Keith Johnson too (referred to under the subject "Response to John Harvey on the physics of homeopathy") seems keen to make controlled use of methane clathrates, using knowledge of the influence of THz waves on them to break them down in a controlled way.

It worries me that the very industry that has largely set up the atmospheric conditions for the catastrophic boiling of methane from permafrost may see the perfect opportunity to mine methane cheaply as a reward for its environmental irresponsibility. (Nuclear-power addicts took the same approach to the question of whether global warming is occurring at all, denying it until it was undeniable and then saying that there was no time to implement renewable energy; that we must instead embrace nuclear-power generation. Australia's then prime minister, John Howard, was at the forefront of that argument: on one day, there was no such thing as global warming; on the next, we had to "solve" it by selling uranium. There's no accounting for the common good in such arguments.)

One aspect missing from the topic of these permafrost methane clathrates is that of ultradilution; it doesn't enter into it at all, as far as I'm aware. So those working with how to manipulate methane clathrates for environmental or mining purposes may find the topics of interest to us wholly irrelevant to their work. Johnson's interests are clearly broader, but seem oriented toward using an understanding of clathrate formation to foster new industrial applications (including new applications in medicine).
