OT for Irene and others

Irene,
Since you are a nurse, and I am contemplating nursing school, how appropriate do you think getting trained and working as a counselor would be for my volunteer experience? It would be at a free clinic and include direct patient contact. Or, do you think it would be better to try to get more direct medic experience such as taking temperatures, blood pressure and stuff like that? So far, the counseling program fits into my schedule. I also plan to volunteer at a large hospital in one of the nursing units to see what they do by shadowing and assisting where I can help.
Thanks
Angie

Dear Angie,
There's a misconception somewhere - I am not a nurse (see my signature lines under my emails)
so I hope you get good answers to your good question, but I can not provide one:-)
Namaste,
Irene

Irene,
Perhaps you could tell us what all of those impressive letters after your signature mean.
Roger

Well, now we have that settled.
Individually, each of those letter groups are just so-so impressive, but to have letters for hard science and homeopathy and social accomplishments, that is very impressive. (:->)

Thanks:-)
My folks called it being a Jack of all Trades.....But truth be told I cannot stand to do things the same way twice, so I keep finding something new to explore
Homeopathy has kept my interest the longest, as no two situations are the same, and there are lots of new things to discover still.
