Steve, I just remember that in the 1970's UK papers had a bad reputation for sensationalism. But I agree with you for the most part. I think that our news media is strongly biased with regard to the government and Obama. But Obama is way too impressed with rich people and big business than a progressive should be.

Roger, I agree with all you say. Except that you seem to think the US media is better than the UK media!
As far as I can see, the British media is totally in the hands of Big Business interests. And the US media is totally in the hands of Big Business interests. I see no difference! The truth in both countries is not to be found in either.
The more we all realise that what the media tell us is the "truth according to the financial interests of Big Business" the better -especially in matters concerned with health.
