Are you talking about osteoporosis? If so, tissue salts, primarily Calc-phos. and Silica, work for my patients. Since there's pain associated with the deterioration, I'd go with Calc-fluor. in higher potency.
Peace,
Dale

I was told specifically that it was bone deterioration.
Whether it is osteoporosis—not sure.
Trying to get better info.
There is definite pain—was told she holds the arm against her body
most likely to avoid movement.
Good to know of your success with this. By higher potency are you
saying 200c? Daily? In water?

Well if she is trying to stop movement Bryonia is the one to try.
I have a patient who is waiting for a knee op and her Sx pointed to Rhus Tox. The 6C did nothing but with the 30C she has put her stick away again!!

I had thought of Bryonia, too, but don’t have enough info to prescribe it.
Just heard that the swelling is down so the pain is greatly reduced.
She had been using golden seal root tincture internally so the inflammation is probably
reduced.
It is frustrating to me since I cannot get to her directly.

I would say:
1) identify and correct maintaining causes (lifestyle, diet);
2) treat presenting picture homeopathically, with the bone issues of course part (probably only part) of the picture
3) then see if more is needed.
Or she could go the nutritional route, on which there are TONS of useful possibilities, but beginning, as above, with re-balancing her physiology and her life.
Vitamin D would be a no-brainer!!! Probably magnesium, possibly calcium (or tons of veggies would be better).
Yes the deterioration can be stopped and the bone rebuilt -- but it would take much more than hit-or-miss ideas… Is she motivated, and will she read and research?
