Nystagmus.....

I think I've asked about this condition before. A 7 year old boy's eyeballs
have fluttered since birth...or vibrate...back and forth...like a spasm. And
one of his left eye looks up to left side when focusing on something with his
right eye. Doctors have decided to operate on his eyes....taking out the
eyeballs and cutting some muscles...the problem seems to be some muscles are
too lax and others are too tight. The purpose of the operation is so that the
left eye looks straight ahead as he focuses. I heard of another child with
something similar and they have had 6 operations on their eyes. So I'm trying
to think of a remedy for this boy. He is in special ed and named as autistic
though he already reads better than his classmates. I have trouble
understanding what he is saying and he had a test for that with speech
therapist and they said he just isn't articulating his words..that he should
slow down, as he repeated perfectly when she told him individual words. He
interrupts his mother when she is on the phone but in person he plays quietly
near by or even alone in his room. He is very sweet and apparently he talks
to ghosts or spirits but that may be because his mother is heavily into ghosts
and spirits..(led ghost tours locally). I saw him get mad and he was very
angry at a man on the street who had yelled at his friend...and he was telling
us what he would do to that man..and all his muscles were taut and he was
saying how he would punch him in the face. He got red in the face talking
about it. He let a smaller child hit him and never fought back but his mother
says when older siblings wrestle with him..he is very very strong.
The mother had an extremely high fever and strep when she was pregnant and had
1m Belladonna. I gave the boy 30 c belladonna when he was around two or three
because he was biting everyone and he stopped. Mother also was on methadone
during her pregnancy for addiction to oxycotin.I know the mother has talked
about the boy sweating profusely at night while he was sleeping. The mother
has responded to both phos(cured deafness in her ear) and lyco for a
campliobactra infection in her blood stream years before.
Can someone give me some pointers? The operation is not until August...and if
anything can be done to avert this that would be good. I have often thought of
giving him bell again...but never did. Agar looked similar but I haven't
really got the experience to understand what would work on his particular
problem with his eyes.
