What is interesting to me is that the inventor was a student of my fathers in
the seventies during the Iranian revolution. His funds for school were frozen
and he was always falling asleep in class from two part time jobs to make ends
meet. My father let the boy come and live with him and then told him he was
too smart for the state university and that he should go to a private school.
He was going to become a doctor but when he went to the private college he got
interested in chemistry and ended up developing that light from the firefly.
I'm only in contact with him now because he started a scholarship in my
father's name. Anyway, it is a good story.
