multiple acute respiratory

Hi guys,
I'm sorry I haven't been here for a while. I came back to ask for help with my father, age 75.
History:
1. Prostate cancer, not active
2. Gout
3. Diabetes
4. Asthma
5. Slightly impaired kidney function because of prostate problems and scarring from kidney stones
On Jan 16th, he went to the ER with the flu, with difficulty breathing. He tested positive for MRSA pneumonia. They put him on oxygen, but he became hypoxic, so they put him on a ventilator. After a few days in the ICU with a ventilator, they took him off and moved him out of the ICU.
Then a long cascade of new complications appeared. These are as follows (treatment he's receiving in parentheses):
1. Necrotizing pneumonia. Abscesses in both lungs. R lung has abscess 6-8 cm wide.
2. Pneumothoraces in both lungs. (They have chest tubes on both sides trying to drain the air, but with limited success. Yesterday they put in a pigtail catheter, which is a wire-thin chest tube for drainage, hoping it would get to the air better.)
3. MRSA confirmed. (On antibiotic linezolid.)
4. Klebsiella pneumonia confirmed. (On antibiotic imipenem.)
5. Asthma. [On duoneb (beta2 agonist/anticholinergic) and pulmicort (steroids)]
6. Renal decompensation. (Dialysis)
7. Anemia. (One time blood transfusion.)
8. Damaged throat/windpipe? From ventilator use. Food/liquids going down the wrong way. (Nasal feeding tube.)
9. Diabetes. (On insulin drip/shots.)
10. Atrial fibrillation. (Heparin.)
11. Constipation. (Multiple laxatives.
While he was on the ventilator, he had been on Fentanyl, a very strong opiate.
Mind: He doesn't speak more than a word or two because of ventilator damage to his throat. Today he asked his wife to OD him on meds because he didn't want to live anymore.
Generalities: Appetite, wanting. Thirstlessness. Chilly. Better with warmth. Better with consolation.
I have repped him, and came up with Phosphorus. I need help with suggestions for dosage. Or if any other remedy comes to mind, I would love to hear those suggestions too.
Thank you in advance.
Helen
