REDMOON DISCONTINUING THE FOOD I HAVE BEEN RECOMMENDING: Redmoon Turkey and Salmon Supreme (CW)

Starting with this line,
I shall copy both Jason Bailey, Redmoon Petfood owner (and who made written agreements with me) and Angela at Redmoon with this email (including an explanation area above not copied more widely) - but also will be making a formal response to today's email from Redmoon (from Angela), when I have time. From this paragraph down is copied to the list of people and forums below, and the complete email goes also to the 1127 Catwell members.

THIS EMAIL IS PRIMARILY TO NOTIFY USERS OF REDMOON's TURKEY AND SALMON SUPREME (CW or Catwell Formula) THAT THEY HAVE 6 MONTHS TO TRANSITION THEIR CATS TO A NEW FOOD - WHICH IS MINIMAL - SO URGENT - AS REDMOON IS WITHDRAWING THIS FOOD.
[It did not sell well due to Redmoon's choice of turkey and salmon proteins, which is hard for cats to transition to - it is otherwise an excellent food - but is to be withdrawn and there is no suitable replacement.]
I copy the notification part of this email to those who were recommended by me to use Redmoon food, to give their cats time to transition to a replacement food as this one WILL be withdrawn (per Redmoon's Angela in an email last night), within 6 months.
(Angela Scott, Manager – Internal Controls - Email: angela@waggers.com).

All past and current clients of mine....this will take time to accomplish, there are many.
All other groups where I am professional feline consultant (too many to list).
Other forums where I recommended this food in the past.
TO DATE Redmoon chooses not to involve me to produce a food I can recommend instead.
(Complain to Redmoon's Angela, not to me, please.)

I am truly sorry that something I recommended is going away with no replacement :-(

I shall be looking for a suitable food to recommend. Best I know of currently is Diamond Naturals Active Cat and/or Costco Kirkland Adult Maintenance. However neither is ideal. Diamond has a history which includes occasional salmonella contamination incidents, and the food lacks essential ingredients (rice bran, fish oil, pumpkin) - and Costco food is too low in animal protein (add more to the diet). Both are chicken-based foods.
ALL other commercial foods I can find are currently worse nutritionally than these two.

Namaste,
Irene
