May I ask if any homeopath has experience the use of cellsalt, can it be taken with constitutional remedy? (not for acute but for deficicency) If it is ok to take cellsalt, I would assume to take only 1 cellsalt at a time, does any cellsalt would cancel out the constitution remedy action? I have cellsalt book but does not have these information.
much appreciated for your input

Dear All,
Bio-chemic remedies work wonderfully. In an experiment we undertook a few years back where we only used cell salts for all diseases whether acute or chronic we were actually surprised with the results.
Cell salts can sometimes interfere with the constitutional.
Take one salt at a time.
Best regards
Elham

I don’t have any problem with my patients on a constitutional remedy also taking cell salts but I know some homeopaths do!!

Elham (and anyone),
I would love to hear your observations about how often it was found necessary t repeat the cell salt remedy -- different of course in different situations; I am looking for that!
And also whether you used them in water and/or dry?
In my own experiments on myself (just for a little while, some years back) I was very impressed by them (had not expected to be), but found them to need much more frequent repetition than I am accustomed to, which I think is why I didn't continue longer. Just never really got the feel for their rhythm. BUT I have used them since when I don't know or can't get the needed single remedy, so IMO excellent backup!
Also, again just on myself, I found water dose (1 or 2 pellets into approx 4 oz water) to be *at least* as effective as dry, and faaaar easier. Just FWIW.
I would like to be better acquainted with cell salts!

if the action of the cell salt is similar enough to that of the constitutional remedy, it could interfere.
I was taught that if you give both, make the cell salt one that is as unrelated as possible (in its action) to the constitutional rx.
Maybe there are other times, but this is what comes to my mind.

I used cell salts a few months back for a dental problem.
I thought it was my imagination that they were working until
I stopped and used the supplement form instead. The supplement
form was doing nothing so it seems the cell salt was the better bet.
I started at 3x/day but having limited supply, cut it back to 1x/day.
Where do you buy yours. None of the HFS around here are carrying
cell salts and don’t even know about them

Tanya, do try them in water potency!
Besides lasting *much* longer that way, in my limited experience they do seem to work at least as well that way, actually I think better. And that makes it MUCH easier when you are taking a mix, not needing to mess with all those bottles for every dose.

How much dilution do you do and how long will a glass last?

I've gone with the theory that the specifics aren't that important, unless you have a need to standardize the dosage. I just took a small jar, or a glass, and put in anywhere from 4 to 8 ounces, and one or two tablets (or one of each, if using more than one together). I've meant to try comparing 4 oz vs. 8, but haven't...
Then I stirred well, and took my usual 1 tsp or "a sip" for a dose.
At the times that I did this I wasn't refrigerating it, so would make a new batch every day or two even if I hadn't finished it. I guess I could have added alcohol or kept it in fridge, but I didn't.
When I have used water potencies on myself, and occasionally with other not-oversensitive people, I have not found the size of the dose to matter much either; teeny sip or tsp, I haven't noticed a difference.
I know that size of dose *does* matter with some people, and seems to matter more with LMs. But with Cs and Xs and cell salts, to me it has not seemed to.
