Holistic Wellness

Over the years, holistic pathways and treatments promoting health and wellness have helped my family and I in dozens of ways. Yoga classes, chiropractic and acupuncture treatment, healthy eating, and lots of meditation have supported us in staying balanced and happy.

Holistic is about treating the whole being: body, mind, and spirit. The body benefits the most from a preventive approach, using diet changes, relaxation techniques,and new exercise routines to keep the body balanced and at ease.

Holistic Medicine recognizes that the mind contributes to overall health and wellness. Meditation, breath work, right/left brain integration, therapy and life coaching techniques help us reduce stress and maintain a positive mindset. I know this personally, but hundreds of studies confirm that this is a key factor in being healthy and happy.

For me, spiritual balance and growth such as meditation, prayer, and those practices that allow us deeper understanding and wisdom are the final piece of the puzzle to holistic wellness.

I wanted to share with the group a new holistic health resource I just found: www.holisticwellnessguide.com . It is free and has a huge library of articles, videos and free classes. Also, the website has a directory of holistic practitioners around the country. Check it out.
