Interesting Rochelle.
I have treated broken bones several times. Usually give Arnica for the shock to the body
30c-200c depending on what is available. May do either of them several doses depending
on the pain level and severity. I follow this with symphytum, most often using 30c 2x/daily.
I have found rapid healing to occur with both animals and people. One man was an alcoholic
with AIDS and this protocol worked extremely well despite his compromised immune system.
One man on 30c complained that his whole body felt like every bone was broken with symph.
When questioned it turned out that he had a history of many broken bones and every one of
those old breaks was activated. I interpreted this as the body resetting these breaks. He
turned out to be a very ‘sensitive’ person and 6c probably would have been a lot more gentle.

Re the Arnica, for after op (and after *severe* injury) I have found 200 or 1M to be MUCH more effective than 30 -- but that might have been "just me"... But I always recommend people have those two potencies on hand in case of severe injury.
When the injury is severe, my experience has been that a 200c or 1M gives relief within anywhere from seconds, up to maybe 5 minutes, and you can judge re-dose simply by waiting until the first signs of discomfort have begun to return. When I've tried using 30 (or lower) for those situations, I did not notice anything dramatic at all. (Or even anything noticeable, actually, but possibly I just wasn't persistent enough, because when in need, I skip to 200!)
I would also find it HUGELY important to take vitamin D, at least 2,000 IU per day ongoing. So far as I read, this seems both like a "must do" and like a "can't lose"...
