Polio - Virology Â- the misnamed Science

Dear Sheri
If my history serves me right, the tribes occupying North America before the Europeans arrived did not suffer from Smallpox.
One of the nasty tricks (ethnic cleansing) played on them was to give blankets from people who had smallpox.
Lo & behold, a lot of the tribes people caught smallpox and died.
So could you explain - if it was not the smallpox germ, what was it that killed these people.
For acute disease to occur we often need and agent + susceptibility.
You may be susceptible to flu and be on a bus in London. If someone with flu sneezes near you, you are very likely to catch the flu. (The similarity of common symptoms indicates that one has the same 'disease name'.)
(That is why it is a bad idea to sit on the back seats of an aircraft. You get all the germ laden air washing over you!

The effects of some bacteria doing their job will affect some, of course, with the toxins they produce in the process of doing their job. And also if the persons immune system is very affected.
Huge numbers of bacteria do incredible things in our bodies - we have no idea the extent of that because so intent on destroying them and all in their wake. Vitamin B12 is produced by bacteria, for example - also Vitamin K and biotin and folic acid. It is an ecosystem which is destroyed when antibiotics are given (without regard)

Over 700 species of bacteria inhabit the large intestine, it is thought.

Most of the bacteria blamed for illness exists in your nose/throat/body all the time...........they aren't the cause of illness.
Viruses have never been proven to cause anything, they are not alive, and probably are there doing a job, communicating between cells, but there is so much propaganda about them so virologists keep their jobs, their funding, and companies make lots of money from drugs and vaccines. It may be that foreign substances injected into us in vaccines that contain foreign viruses may cause a problem in another species such as us, but it is hard to say because the truth has been so obscured.
Primarily it is about the health of the host and I really don't worry about bacteria and so-called viruses.
They think they know so much but we are in infancy regarding our knowledge of the body and the world. We know next-to-nothing about the human immune system and even less about the infants immune system. Once you realize that we are very primitive in our knowledge and let go of the hubris of today.................things get a lot clearer.
