Hi, does anyone have any experience with luxating patella? Any
information would be greatly appreciated, my friend has a toy poodle
who is starting to exhibit symptoms and we are looking for an
alternative to surgery
thanks
Susan

Dear Sue,
In a class that I took last year on homeopathy for animals a case of a dog
with this problem was mentioned and gelsemium took care of the problem. I
have tried it on a horse (a young Shire) and it helped some. His knee still
makes a popping sound occasionally, but he is still mobile and hasn't had to
go on stall rest.

This could fall under the heading of easy dislocations or sprains in the
repertory. If the animal is young then Vermaculite (Mineral) in low
potency 6x three times daily for 20 days on 20 off may get a good
result. If there is a congenital problem then it could be a slow road to
healing.
Feel free to come back to me privately about this if you like
