Ricinus

Hi All,
Just had a Skype message from an Italian relation whose sister had a prem baby a month ago. This sister went to a pharmacist today and was given Ricinus 30ch and told to take 5 doses (don’t know the interval) to increase her milk production . She got home took a dose and then googled the remedy and found that 30ch gets rid of milk and 5ch increases it. She started to panic and got in touch with me. I calmed her down by saying it won’t decrease her milk with one dose and could only do it if she wasn’t breast feeding!! I was trying to get some case history out of her by typing on Skype. Apparently she has been in hospital a month because of anaemia (5.7!!) from a retained placenta I think when I was pushing her for information. She has had blood transfusions. Baby was only brought into her once a day by her husband and so I am not sure how much expressing was being done.
I went through the usual things of letting baby suckle every couple of hours and to express at night etc. and I think she is doing that. She says she is producing 20ml milk every 3 hours and baby wants 60ml so she is supplementing with formula. I suggested that it would take about a week for her body to catch up with baby’s appetite.
She wanted to know if she should buy the Ricinus 5ch tomorrow and how many times to take it a day. I suggested she should wait and see what the 30ch does before anything else and that because the remedy has anaemia in the MM she may not need anything else!! She says she is stressed and is going to be receiving psychological counselling because of the trauma after the birth.
Now this is a remedy I have not come across before . Has anyone used it and can give me any advice on it please.
