Homeopathic medicines for liver failure surgery?

Friends,
A friend just alerted me that he has been diagnosed with liver failure and will be getting a liver transplant very shortly.
He asked me if I knew of remedies to consider to help with the surgery.
I'm curious if anyone out there has had experience with people undergoing a liver transplant...
