Minutus

I have a patient who wishes to get pregnant and has been trying for a while. She has just started to chart mucus , mood etc and I have asked her to chart temperature to see if she is ovulating. She had a contraceptive rod implanted many years ago which she has never had removed and her doctor says that the hormones will have run out in 2003 so it is unnecessary to have it removed. Does anyone know anything about these rods???
