I have been asked to treat an elderly man with BPH who has recently had to take himself off to hospital for a catheter insertion because he was in pain having not been able to pass urine. Now the catheter has been removed I would like to know in advance if anyone knows of an acute remedy which would release urine if this happened again. I do not know at this stage if he has been offered surgery or not. Naturally when I see him I will be looking for a remedy based on his totality of symptoms.
Thanks
Rochelle

Try Sabal serrulata, the "homeopathic catheter."

I have never used this Rx in potency , only in a herbal form for prevention of problems. Just checked my Rx store and I have it in a 6x and a 200!!! Have you ever used it for this purpose – in which case which of those 2 potencies would you suggest in I ever needed it?
Thanks
Rochelle

sabal may cure but it takes too much time. opium cm single dose bwd restore u7rination in 15 v t0 30 minutes. if there is no stream only drops hepar sulf in cm wd give you result in a day. digitals 30 if there is severe burning in urethra while passing urine. baruyta carb and raerly conium is needed . i never failed in my 25 years practice.

Thanks I will file these suggestions but I don’t have these Rx in a cm. In the rep Dig appears to be the main remedy. I will see during the consultation if this ma n has any heart issues.

I haven't had occasion to use it as a "catheter," but given the urgency of a situation in which it might be needed, I'd go for the higher potency (though some of the older texts recommend a 1X).
Peace,
Dale
