Stretching an LM (plus diabetes ideas)

Hi Soroush,
Thanks for the reply and informative advice.
I am under the care of a LM homeopath trained by Dr, Luc DeSchepper, considered one of his best students, by him.
Daily dosing is what is instructed at least from that camp of thought, considered followers of Hahnemann's Advanced Methods.
Since I have 2 chronic inherited miams, the diabetes one currently progressing fastest causing the most organ damage, why wouldn't one take a LM remedy daily?
Isn't the idea to move aggressively towards cure, not wait for it?
If my blood glucose stays at 250 or generally higher than normal, isn't that considered "absolutely" needed?
Is there a timeframe on progressing from one LM to the next level or can it be "stretched" indefinitely?
This particular anti-psoric remedy was first prescribed to me by Andre Saine as 200C Dunham but made me severely ill.
Then Dr. Ramakrishnan prescribed it as a constitutional also 200C but in repetiitive high doses, dry per 4th Ed Organon over 2 years.
Since I got tired of paying for Dr. AUR's USA trips, hotel visits, $350 each consultation, with little followup or interaction, no dosage adjustments, no diabetes relief as he claims to provide, and wanting to be able to repeat doses more often, I decided to go the LM route.
Dr. AUR's methods may be good for aggressive cancer but managing chronic cases needing more analysis is not his forte.
Plus he's way overpriced for what he provides and possibly takes advantage of us "rich" Americans. Though he is a very nice guy.
As a constiutional, daily LM dosing works great on various, what I'll call psora aspects, energy, aches, pains, all those symptoms H wrote about in Chronic Disease and great for mentals! ;)
Unfortunately, does little to stop or improve diabetes. Actually the high 200C doses worked better at lowering blood glucose briefly on occasion but more rollercoaster overall than LM which is billed as smoother. I did feel an aggravation coming on so skipped a day or too, but restarted when feeling out of sorts.
Started with LM6, since previously on 200C, now onto LM7.
Wonder if you can take the same remedy simulaneously in C and LM?
I don't feel going through the full LM series to LM24 is going to cure diabetes, so need an additional approach.
The LM homeopath feels an Indian homeopath with specific diabetes skills would be a good adjunct.
At this point, I don't think there is ONE simillimum nor one homeopathic approach. I'd like to stay fully classical but clock is ticking.
Sure, maybe I'll be cured in the long run but go blind or lose a foot from high blood sugar getting there.
As the allopaths say, the operation was successful but the patient died.
While David Little's work is highly educational and well researched, I wouldn't take all his published interpretions as 100% gospel or the Koran.
Luise Kunkle, former poster here and native German, and him had a few disagreements, if not knockdown drag out fights, on some of his H cases microfiche interpretatoins and other H stuff on the now barely alive Lyghtforce mail list. At the time, I personally found David's overprotective H can make no error approach too zealous.
Meanwhile, the pharmaceutical drug Byetta, discussed here before, is an absolute miracle. I stopped it when starting the LM and diabetes progressively worsened fast.
Recently restarted and it quickly lowers blood sugar and reduces some diabetic symptoms like frequent urination along with increased energy.
Would like to explore one day how the remedy made from the heliomonster lizard saliva might be used in lieu of the drug since the drug now costs $400/month w/o insurance.
Also, thinking of Insulinum. While I don't expect it to cure diabetes, most of my life has been spent on the Atkins Diet which greatly reduces insulin output. Since I don't feel well from my own high insulin levels which contributes to weight gain, high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat only helped by not eating carbs, thus not producing insulin, maybe insulinum can help. When eating carbs continuously for a few days, I feel like I have a cold with nasal congestion. This is from too much insulin and symptoms go away when in ketosis on Atkins Diet.
Also thinking of liver related remedies as my diabetes seems liver related. An herbal liver detox always lowers my blood sugar even when eating carbs but only during the detox phase.
Took Nat Sulph as cell salt and wonder if the remedy would be useful too vs. just focusing on herbs/vitamins for liver.
I recently started using Tumeric standardized extract with 95% curcumenoids. This powerful antioxidant is being billed as highly anti-inflammatory, chronic inflammation being said to lead to many diseases and age-related body deterioration. I feel similar "psoric" relief as when taking the LM remedy and wonder if the remedy is helping reduce inflammation levels.
Along with that is insulin resistance, which many but not all type 2 diabetics have. This is where you lose energy and feel tired in addition to having high blood sugar because it's theorized one's cells do not let insulin in to allow glucose to be utilized for energy production or do not use insulin properly, The allopathic approach is to take more insulin, so if you already have high insulin levels and high blood sugar, more insulin can cause weight gain compounding the problem more. Possibly the constitutional remedy or another helps with this mitochondrial energy production which arose from psora. Thus, why I may feel great when taking a constitutional remedy.
Regards,
Susan

*********
Yes, one moves as quickly as possible, but – the remedy works by superimposing its own dynamic disturbance (disease) on the VF, to displace the inner disease. If you overdo it you get a medicinal disease (which we call a proving). The practitioner should gauge the response and tailor dosage accordingly. Now, according to “Hahnemann’s advanced methods” one doesn’t start with LM6 (and not because the previous potency was 200C). Who says the 200C was correct and the idea with LM’s is to start imposing the medicinal disturbance (MD) of VF and as this happens the natural disease (ND) decreases, until the point where the MD is stronger dynamically than the ND. At that point one might see a change from a steady improvement, to a point of aggravation. It’s time to stop and let the aggravation pass and reassess posology. Perhaps its the stage of cure.
********
This particular anti-psoric remedy was first prescribed to me by Andre Saine as 200C Dunham but made me severely ill.
Then Dr. Ramakrishnan prescribed it as a constitutional also 200C but in repetiitive high doses, dry per 4th Ed Organon over 2 years.
*********
Well, this does not mean the remedy is the right one. From the sounds of it the remedy is not correct. Furthermore, if you are going to be treated according to SH methods taking into account miasm’s, then the antipsoric is given intercurrently, or to restore vitality to the VF (not as a source of VF, but by decreasing the psoric effect of the miasm and allowing the VF to recuperate) and then using the appropriate “other miasmatic remedy” (sycotic or syphillitic).
*********
I don't feel going through the full LM series to LM24 is going to cure diabetes, so need an additional approach.
The LM homeopath feels an Indian homeopath with specific diabetes skills would be a good adjunct.
*********
This worries me when its a “homeopath with diabetic skills”. I’d prefer to see a “homeopath with homeopathic skills”. It does sound like your homeopath has lost the plot and you do need to be referred, to an experienced HOMEOPATH. Which leads me to my next point ......

It seems you are taking on some of the treatment plan yourself, which is understandable if you are not getting anywhere, but can take you down the wrong path. All the more reason that you need to change to another homeopath. You don’t want to keep changing homeopath without giving them a chance, but the current treatment plan has been given a chance and is not working. Your next choice should be someone experienced and with good reference. Then let them decide the plan forward.

I will put my penny’s worth in also being Type 2 diabetic who controls on a Low Carb/Low GI diet and exercise. If I need to use sweetener which is rare I use Xylitol. Until I found Xylitol I used Fructose. I am in the UK and we can’t get Stevia which I believe is also OK.

Dear Susan

I briefly read that you are diabetic and want to reverse it.
I was a type 2 diabetic on 5 oral meds and on the verge of having to take insulin.
My control was very poor and my doctor said I would most likely end up on insulin.
Today I can happily say I REVERSED my diabetes, have come off ALL meds including homeopathic ones and only control with diet and exercise.
Of course I now eat foods that are bad for diabetics such as biscuits, ice creams, bananas etc and my glucose readings are good.
I do help others reverse their diabetes both in the UK and abroad.
I am a homeopath and counsellor based in the UK.
If you have any questions , please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think some of your conclusions may be incorrect based on my incomplete info,
I'm not looking for online case taking and remedy suggestions but hopefully this helps others when looking at cases that can easily confuse and hard to rep depending on the stage they are in.
I said I have 2 chronic miasms and have discussed these over the last 15+ years on the homeopathy lists/groups. Currently, the diabetes is progressing fastest since I'm now older.
The other is bipolar. Both have been active since young but bipolar illlness usually comes out with a bang when younger and remains fairly steady state, it doesn't progress and you don't deteriorate and die from it, maybe only from longterm usage of some allopathic drugs that control it. I've been lucky in a sense that I only need natural lithium to control it not newer artificial pharmaceuticals like Depakote, Tegretol and various anti-seizure/epileptic drugs now used which affect the liver. Lithium only affects the kidneys. Easier to get a kidney transplant than liver, if needed and there is dialysis. ;)
I've also been been prescribed antipsorics since 1995 and one of those definitely helped by permanently reducing the amount of lithium needed but did not do anything to prevent diabetes.
When the diabetic miasm becomes highly active and you go into diabetes, what seems sudden but really creeps up slowly over time, all body functions are affected as blood sugar rises and difficult to control and effects are felt from dental, eyesight, urinary, energy level, high blood pressure in addition to whatever is happening unseen internally, kidney, liver, blood vessels and effects from inflammation.
Diabetes is considered pro-aging as it hastens the cellular aging process and it's noticeable. Toenails thicken, gums recede etc. High blood glucose levels lead to glycation, which is like carmelizing an onion, blood gets stickier, thicker, over time leading to these various complications.
Any antispsoric I've taken has most effect on the bipolar, lesser or less noticeable effect on diabetes. Before going fullblown diabetic in 2004, it was already an active miasm, just in a prediabetic state which is why I've been an Atkins no/low-carb dieter most times..
So, when asked "Are you improving" when taking the current LM remedy which I already was taking as a 200C, it's a dual answer, yes and no.
By taking a constitutional as LM daily, I've been able to greatly further reduce the amount of lithium needed daily but this is variable and I wouldn't say "cure" since it depends on continued doses.
I feel wonderful on certain physical levels, mental levels, and just having less lithium in my body is kidney protective and definitely less muscle aches and tiredness which lithium can cause over time.
There is also a reduction, cessation of the overall homeopathic dis-ease upon remedy administration.
Improvement continues the longer I take the remedy. It IS the miracle H wrote about! Free of psora!
Oops!, diabetes no better or worse, though at times get some brief amelioration. Need allopathic drugs daily, various herbs, minerals, teas to keep sugar down.
Allopaths pushing to start insulin to avoid a slow early death, heart attack, blindness, foot amputation, etc.
Taking more insulin to compensate for insulin resistance when you already have high insulin levels is not going to be a fun experience, one I want to avoid.
There is good reason allopaths are more vigilant now than ever given the complications I've described above.
So, one miasm gets much better, the other worse or not much improvement, yet.
Whether that means to stop a remedy that's "working" is up for interpretation.
In all fairness to the new current LM homeopath, it was decided that initially, the "cardinal" rule in homepathy is NOT to change a WORKING remedy.
OK, but how do you view working? Since Soroush has yet to moderate me, it must be working! ;) You'll know when it's not.
You can't direct an antipsoric to only work on one miasm more vs. the other, but because it works more on one vs another does not necessarily mean it is the wrong remedy.
Possibly I'm living proof of Hering's Rule/Law, improvement from top down, mental to physical.
Does that mean I have to be cured of bipolar first to be cured of diabetes?
Since I do get some diabetic amelioration at times suggests to me continuing this remedy might be useful and hopefully it will progress to the 2nd more as the 1st miasm diminishes.
So, that is why diabetes adjunct homeopathy was suggested. LM6 was suggested as starting point since having taken 200C of same remedy for so long and high dosage, it was felt LM1 would be too weak. Meanwhile I'm now on LM7 and still improving in various ways, if I feel it's too much, I skip a dose.
Did H write you must start with LM1?
Yesterday, I did go to the store and purchased the sycotic anti-miasmatic remedy in 200C and 1M as it was the first remedy I ever took in LM but it severely aggravated due to incorrect LM prescribing.
I still have some keynote rubrics of this remedy and was told by new LM homeopath if I had kept taking it years ago, it would have cured me but now I've progressed too far and it can't cure me.
That really seems questionable, why would no other homeopath know this? May try to take it sooner than later but waiting for now.
In religion, there are many roads to one God. The same with homeopathy, each homeopath has a different interpretation and methods, which could lead to the same end result.
I've had homeopaths following only the 4th, 5th or 6th ed. Organons. Current LM prescriber never used C's
I need a homeopath that can write the 7th edition, since I don't think Hahnemann wrote about, nor may have had, a case with 2 active chronic miasms.
Regards,
Susan

Hi Susan,
One initial question. Why has it been said you have 2 miasm’s – a diabetic and a bipolar? These in themselves are not miasm as Sh described, but part of the chronic disease. One cannot split the two and say one is one miasm and the other is another miasm. There is one (natural disease) active chronic miasm. The use of an antipsoric was to treat patients who were sycotic or syphillitic and were overtreated with allopathic treatments such as mercury, which caused a depetion og the vital force and activated a latent psoric miasm. SH said very rarely two miasms were active naturally at the same time.
It is quite conceivable that a remedy exists that works on your bipolar and diabetes. hering’s law could apply but I doubt that a correct remedy will aggravate your diabetes if correctly applied. Usually aggravations will be non-threatening. Of course I do noit know your full case.
And, I never suggested you were trying to get online help. That would be the wrong way to go. You need to consult in person a homeopath who can take a fresh look (unprejudiced observer) and who has the experience to take on your case. The maxim to not change a working remedy may be true but it’s not a rule. One needs to be sure the remedy is “working”. From your initial presentation, it seems the remedy is palliating.
Lastly, you bought 1M etc. I repeat, your prescriber should be in charge of posology, you as a patient are not in a position to objectively decide on dosing. No patient is.

Paul

Subject: Re: [Minutus] Stretching an LM (plus diabetes ideas)

Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Regards,
Susan

Dear Tanya,
Am pretty sure you can get it online but not in shops. I really rarely sweeten anything except when I am making a tomato sauce or the Dukan diet oat bran muffins (high protein/low GI carb) and xylitol does the job.
Just found this on a website which sells it:_
