Acute intervention? elder question
Posted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 9:18 pm
I received a call from an old acquaintance about her mother. She has been very slowly declining for years after a serious accident. I do not have the details of the case. The daughter called out of the blue and described her mother as rather suddenly starting to spiral downward – losing interest, being more demanding of attention, having less physical strength, not even being able to sit up straight in a chair without being propped up with pillows, she is still 'with it' but just not herself. . . . It was a description of physical and emotional decline over the span of a few days - but still consistent with the overall picture of her condition since the accident. So I gather this is not a specific new set of symptoms or stressors – just a sudden spiral downward. I spoke with an old friend who works only with elders and she routinely uses high potency Carbo Veg in these situations (note – she uses homeopathic remedies but she is definitely not a 'classical' homeopath).
I will be calling back this evening (only as a friend) – but thought I would check with this group first to see if you had any insights before I ask further questions or make any suggestions.
Thank you in advance for your insights.
