Anyone have experience or anything about treating lice on long-haired
cattle? (Is this something that remedies could help and/or prevent,
or is it just a hygiene thing?)
Thanks,
Shannon

Remedies can definitely help as I have seen cases written by hom vets on treating this in cattle. I am trying to rack my brains and remember where. If it comes to me I will post. With a separate species I had a cat with terrible lice. He spent all of this time tormenting the other animals and was driving them mad. He had Lachesis and the tormenting stopped and the lice went.

Mm thanks, that's great to hear. Well then, I'll have a go at them -- seem quite healthy and happy but their personalities are distinct, and I should be able to get enough to work with. Thanks again.

Just remembered where it was: Edward De Beukelaer's book "Homeopathy What to expect? Including 101 lively veterinary case studies."

Susceptibility to parasite comes from an imbalanced immune system. You can have multi cat households and only some of the cats will have fleas: the weak and diseased ones. One friend who was obsessed with fleas, and used to groom her animals daily with a flea comb, had a multi-cat and multi-dog household. Only one cat and one dog used to have fleas on them. They were both animals that in themselves seemed healthy, but they both had major behavioural issues: one was a massive bully and one was unpredictable and nasty: he would savage you at the drop of a hat. If you manage to rebalance the immune system the problem of fleas should go. You would be looking at a full case taking for the animal to figure out the remedy that would do the rebalancing.
