I think that you will find that it is because it used to be a forum for classical homeopathy and then became a forum for what anyone felt like talking about. Classical Homeopaths and students really want to discuss Classical Homeopathy not everything that anyone fancies. Facebook is now the place where people do the serious talking that used to take place on here. It is very sad to see its decline. I can remember when I first came to this forum and it had the greats like David Little, Chris Gillen and Joy Lucas, to name but a few. I learnt so much about Hahnemann's methods from these generous people and I am extremely grateful for the time they dedicated to helping us. And I am still learning a lot from some of them, just not on here!

Dear Kerry
I agree with you.
One thing that can be done is that I go back to posting Organon aphorisms and we then discuss each one before we go on to the next. If you (members) think this is a good idea please let me know.

I am all for posting Organon aphorisms

My feeling is that I can get a lot of non classical homeopathy info. in many different places but having a place to ground my classical homeopathic training would be beneficial for me.

Dear Soroush

I think that problem now is that most of the Classical Homs that gave great input are no longer on this list, so a lot of those that could give the best guidance are gone. :-(

Have you any suggestions?
So do we jump in quickly (as used to happen before) and say "That is not 'Hahnemannian' homeopathy."?

My personal opinion is that a list dedicated to Hahnemann's methods should uphold Hahnemann's methods. If someone feels that it isn't true to Hahnemann's teaching, and they wish to point that out, then they should explain why it isn't and what they consider to be the alternative. Hopefully they will do that in a pleasant manner that helps students to understand rather than alienates people. I can understand though how many Classical Homeopaths totally lost patience, because it was the same members, again and again, trying to promote methods that weren't Classical in anyway.

Perhaps one way would be for the moderators to invite Classical homeopaths back, on the promise that the list will be well moderated and that non Classical Homeopathy discussion will not be tolerated or encouraged. There are lots of lists and groups out there for political views, vaccination, polypharmacy, etc and it seems extremely sad that this list has become just another one of those lists, especially when it had such a good reputation some years ago.

How can an explanation of anything not "Classical" be considered Promotion ? Anyone with an explanation that doesn't fit into the "Classical" model gets fried, beaten and eaten. I for one am glad that some people have left, nasty derisive posts are not good for homeopathy, Classical or otherwise. Everything has a cycle, whether we are talking about list serves, or something else, this is just part of the cycle. I learned a lot when this group was originally formed, but in the last 3 years not so much learned homeopathy as the art and use of sarcasm and nasty comments. Sad really, but maybe it is time for Minutus to die the way Lyghtforce apparently did.

Now just watch. Rik will have to say something exceptionally nasty, since it seems whenever I post he must have his say.

Hi Leilanae

Joy also has a great group on Facebook for studying remedies, working cases, studying the Organon, etc. :-)

And Roger van Zandvoort also has a great group were the Complete Rep is used to work a case a day: a great way of getting to grips with different rubrics and ways of looking at cases.
