Staphyloccocus aureus treatment

Dear all,
my 18-day old son was diagnosed with Staphylococcus aureus last week and his homeopath has prescribed Staphylococcinum 30 C, succussed 8 times, diluted 3 times. He has thick yellow eye discharge and sneezes, but he is fine other than that. Eats well (only breastmilk) and has never received any vaccines. When I first gave him the remedy, the eye discharge reduced within the first twelve hours, then increased in his left eye and then in his right eye. I have given him another dose, but this time I didn't notice any significant change in symptoms.
Does anyone have experience with treating Staphylococcus aureus and is there something else I can do for my baby? The homeopath has said it will take time, but I don't know how often to repeat the remedy and if the dosing is correct.
Thank you for your feedback.
Kind regards,
Aglika
