As if brain catching up with body ...

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone with a more extensive ReferenceWorks or Encyclopedia Homeopathica might be able to find a strange sensation that I cannot:

A vertiginous feeling as if the brain was catching up with the body, as if one started upward on an elevator, or started walking forward, and left the brain behind, then the brain "whooshed" back into the calvarium.

Warm regards to all -

Is this a sensation of not being in the body. Not at home and wanting to get there
MIND; DELUSIONS, imaginations; home; away from, is; get there, must (5) : 2bry., 2op., calc-p., cimic., hyos.
It is something I have found in Calc Phos several times, that and deep sighing, Jean

What about using the subrubrics of the rubric: HEAD, loose, brain, as if? Does this occur on movement or when the Px is still? There is that sx in Am-c. of the brain "falling" to the side toward which one leans. Is this similar enough to be usable?
Peace,
Dale

Hi all,

Thanks for the rubric suggestions.

The sensation is very specific, and on probing the client does not use language like "disconnected" or "away from home" or "loose," so using one of those rubrics would be speculative at best.

The "brain gets left behind" and "whooshes" to catch up. These are the only two ways she is able to describe the feeling. The disturbing part is apparently the whooshiness. The sensation is not dependent on position or motion. It is associated with her fears.

Based on the client's other symptoms, she got Sol-t-ae yesterday. One published case of Sol-t-ae has a "swimmy" sensation in the head. I'll find out in a couple of weeks if that's close enough.

Thanks again!

my first thought.... helleborus - also has a disconnect between the body and mind

then... hydrogen, anhalonium...
