One more time, the medical community is trying to infringe upon our
right to practice and/or have acces to alternative medicine in North
Carolina.

NC Senate Bill 31, entitled “Clarify Penalty Unauthorized Practice of
Medicine“
http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/Sessions/20 ... /S31v2.pdf

would change the penalty from a misdemeanor to a Class I felony.

- The NC Senate approved the bill in early March,

- The NC House Judiciary Subcommittee B approved the bill on March 30.

- The NC House of Representatives will vote on the bill Monday or
Tuesday April 4 or 5. If approved, the Governor has 10 days to veto the
bill.

- If this bill passes into law, it would infringe upon your right
to choose and practice many forms of unlicensed complementary and
alternative health care services that have a safe history.

A similar bill S144 was defeated in 2003 because of citizen opposition.

This train is picking up speed. It is fueled by the Codex alimentarius
which
is operated out the EU, under UN sponsorship (that may not be the right
term).

Some of us have been warning about this train for several years but most
people
have remained unbelieving and complacent. Now we find ourselves behind the
8-ball scrambling to educate the public and gain support.

In the mid 1990's people rallied round to create the DSHEA regs to protect
our
freedom of access. Today, people are pulled apart by all the other
emergencies
created at home and abroad coupled with the intentional crash of the
American
economy in particular. The population's attention is fragmented in so many
ways.
This acts as cover for the insidious infusion of these local laws to create
the
mandated Codex regulations.

And there are people in our profession who still think homeopathy can
suvive
without political involvement. No wonder we got trashed in the early
1900's,
and since we didn't learn from history, we are being doomed to repeat it.
