Got this in an email from a patient with a bad skin condition, which responded well to a Rx to begin with but he didn't keep in touch so I didn't know what was going on. I emailed him and he reported that it responded well to begin with, he repeated it a few times and now it had gone backwards so I sent him a higher potency. One dose didn't do as much as the lower potency repeated in a water potency for a couple of days so I suggested returning to the lower dose water potency and it seemed to have started improving things again.
Anyway - the email I just received I think is very interesting and possibly revealing. So I would like any ideas of remedies that come to mind (or rubrics for that matter) It was in reference to him coming for a follow up after a month so I can get the full story of what is going on rather than bits an email that I then have to try and join up to some sort of timeline

Yes I think arrogant is an excellent word for him. Touches of Platina but have never given that to a man!! I may look at one of the Lanthanides- Europium comes to mind - the wise guy!! He has had this skin complaint for 40 years and expects it to go instantly and never return.

Both good suggestions!! Lycopodium is on my list for him but apparently he was given Sulphur 30 by a herbalist (!!!) in the last year so really I wanted to steer away from that!! The Mez 30 water potency seems to be improving the itch and maybe the colour of the skin. I shall decide when I see him tomorrow.

I guess email is a tricky medium here as I would want to know whether he was saying this in a light-hearted / jesting way, or whether this is a serious comment?
“because you need to see how you're doing so far” is the interesting bit for me ....
The emphasis is on ‘you’ needing to check how ‘you’ are doing ... is he taking no responsibility for his own health at all? Or is he loading that onto you?

I think ‘Delusional’ may be an apt description?
“.. and I'm happy with your overall progress so far”...
I really don’t have a full insight into this case, and I can only go on my gut feeling, but the alarm bells are ringing for me .. it’s like he’s allowing you the privilege of treating him ... for the next month anyway.
I’d be very curious about the mental and emotional picture here, but I’m guessing this line of questioning would need to be handled with care

why wouldn't you give platina to a man. over here, there are many
men who need it. years ago we joked that this teacher in a program i attended
was a platina, but he was too haughty (full of himself) to take it!
