Hello
My name is Danielle and I am a high school senior interested in
natural medicine. My science/health class was going on about how
antibiotics cure gonorrhea and when I was looking in some homeopathic
books I see the gonorrhea listed as a virus. My teacher says virus'
are not affected by antibiotics. My question is the gonorrhea a virus
or a bacterium? and is the medorrhinum a sarcode or nosode and what
is the difference. THank you smart people!

Gonorrhoea is due to BACTERIA Gram-negative diplococcus Neisseia gonorrhoeae
Treatment by antibiotics is regarded as suppressive and does not remove all the traces of disease in the patient.
It has been observed that when a person suffering from Gonorrhoea has been treated with antibiotics and then by a homoeopath treating them for the totality of their symptoms, then the a similar discharge returns (which does not contain the bacteria) and it is only after this that they will start to feel better!

Sarcode remedies are made from discharges from a healthy gland (e.g. milk, snake venom etc)

Nosode remedies are made from discharges from diseased organs or parts.
Medorrhinum was made from the discharge from a male patient suffering from Gonorrhoea - therefore it is a nosode!

If you have any more questions on Homoeopathy, please do not hesitate to ask.

Good luck with your studies.
