December 2010 Newsletter
WE'VE BEEN IN AFRICA FOR TWO YEARS!

Dear Friends,

We are writing this letter on our second anniversary in Tanzania, Africa. Yes we have been here for two years, which is amazing to us too. When we came we did not know if it would be for six months or one year. We now realize that to achieve our objectives we need to stay here for a while longer. You might ask what these objectives are. Here is the list:

1. To treat as many AIDS patients as possible using classical
homoeopathy.
2. To find the genus epidemicus for AIDS in Africa (and maybe globally) and to spread this information. For free.
3. To make our project self sustainable and propagate the use of homoeopathy in Tanzania and Africa.
4. To help show the world the amazing power of homoeopathy.

It may sound like a tall order, but we believe in a big vision. And although things here in Africa move at an incredibly slow pace, we have achieved a lot in these two years:

We have treated around 1000 patients. We have shown that classical homoeopathy can achieve unbelievable results in nearly every case. We have narrowed our remedy list to 20. We are constantly amazed at the miracles we see.

We have a thriving homoeopathic Centre. We have opened 10 rural clinics in the area; some behind a shop, some under a tree, some in a deserted hospital. We have had several volunteers join us at village clinics. Jeremy is now working in a local hospital. Wherever we go the word of homeopathy's success spreads and people come. Doctors are impressed. The word is spreading.

We have a well-stocked pharmacy. We are training two Tanzanians to be professional homoeopaths. We have had students from all over the world sitting in with us. We have initiated food projects.

We have a day care Centre for children of women with AIDS, all widows. We feed them two good meals a day and give them a fun education and a good start in life. We employ AIDS widows and help kids who have been left with nothing. We fight the AIDS stigma. We have a volunteer Centre; 'Hahnemann House,' for visiting homeopaths. A local theatre group has written a song about our project. A movie is being made about homoeopathy in Africa.

We are proud of what we have achieved and it gives us great satisfaction. We have not achieved this alone. Behind us have been homoeopaths and friends who have supported us morally and financially. Unfortunately the big institutions have given nothing at all (Yes, we tried!).

So please help us to continue. We need donations; we depend on you to keep this project going. Every penny you spend goes a long way. This is for sick people who have no choice, for homoeopathy, for Africa. This is everybody's project. Please help us with a donation, with a good contact, or simply come as a volunteer or a student. And if you want to learn a lot, come to Africa and sit in.

Jeremy and Camilla Sherr

A VERY HAPPY PATIENT
This is one of our happy patients, one month after receiving homeopathic treatment. She has AIDS and is on anti-retroviral medications. Six years ago at the local hospital she received quinine for malaria and very quickly developed two serious side-effects. She became very hard of hearing and developed seizures that occurred about three times a week. She came to our rural clinic one day and the translator had to sit next to her and shout into her ear. She was given a daily dose of a homeopathic remedy.

When she returned a month later, she was full of smiles. Her hearing was back and improving more every day. She could hear the interpreter speaking in a normal voice and could even hear someone talking to her from across the yard. The seizures were almost gone; she had only one in the entire month. She was feeling much stronger and healthier.

TWO CASES --VISITED AT HOME
Case 1 Young woman with brain symptoms
Weight 35kg (77lbs) CD4 48, not yet on ARVs

She is confused, says she wants to go back to Dar to work. She believes there are mosquitoes and flies all around her. Very ill, can hardly stand due to weakness of legs. Very, very thin. She can hardly swallow due to fungus in the oesophagus, which is VERY PAINFUL.

Rx: Crypto-n 12c daily in water

Follow-up 1 month later: She is stronger and walking. Her confusion is 80% better; not seeing flying insects any more. Her throat pain is improved and she has been able to eat. She has gained 5 kg (11 lbs) in three weeks. She is going back to Dar to her kids and to work. Awating CD4 count results.

Case 2 Man who can't stand

On ARVs for a year, since CD4 count was 7. His legs are very weak. He can't walk without help or even stand without support. He has no pains, but his feet are numb. Has a lot of stomach gas since being on ARVs.

Dream: Going down into a valley, but he can't go back up because his legs are too tired.

Becomes very cold and shakes from the cold. He sits outside in the sun to warm up. He is too weak to walk, too weak to stand. he just sits. He gets angry from little things. If he asks for help and if no one comes immediately, he will get angry and then won't talk. He has a fear of high places.

Rx: Gels. 12c daily in water

Follow-up two weeks later:
The weakness is gone; he is walking! The numbness in his feet is much improved. The gas in his stomach is completely gone. He is no longer cold. His anger is gone and he now feels happy and strong.

Follow-up three months later: Improvement continues
