Has anyone had to deal with consequences of this? patient has dry irritable eyes several months on. I have tried staphysagria, euphrasia 12 and tincture and also calendula. Any suggestions welcomed.

Is she dry elsewhere too? have you considered trying Nat. Mur. tissue salts - good for chronic dryness. And what about her constitutional - maybe it's something with dryness in its picture, like Puls.

Nutritionally, she should look at her Omega-3's and other nutrients that relate to eye lubrication.

can be part of Sjorgen's or autoimmune thryoid, esp if throid is high as in Graves.
Oils are helpful - Omega 7 from Sea Buckthor has been shown to help dry eyes in Sjorgen's.
Makes me wonder about the Oil remedies.

Thank you - will suggest these oils. The condition is a direct result of the surgery, though, rather than part of a larger constitutional picture. Although she may have reacted badly because eyes were a bit dry in the first place...

Here is a different thought. I use low level (cold) laser and have used it on my eyes.
It is very gentle and healing. Wonder if that would help heal the eyes? I need to call
my supplier today and will ask about this if I can get through to them

I would always make up 10ml boiled waster and 2 drops of tincture to be used as eye drops as needed but I guess you have tried this!!

I have. Although I use Galens preparation of euphrasia tincture in normal saline. She actually thinks it made it worse!!

I have never used that as I always make upo my own. Any chance it is the salt in the saline that could have made it worse?
