I just heard the vote is delayed until after Thanksgiving - so prob until next Monday - so another week to mobilize the public.

If you are in the US call your Senator and ask them to throw entire bill out - or at least support the Tester Amendment which exempts small producers who sell direct to public.

I also signed a petition to my individual Senators. I would strongly suggest
calling, e-mailing, faxing, etc to them. If you do an individual e-mail or letter,
you might get a response a little more detailed than the canned posts they send out.
I find the value of this is getting a slightly deeper insight to their thinking and voting
tendency.

They have been trying to push this through during the holiday week when people
aren't so focused--as if they ever are. But it is good to have a few extra days.

The first is that the bill affects home gardening at all. From what I've read at all three URLs, it doesn't seem to, but I'm seeking clarification of why it was mentioned in the

Nothing of the ammendments are really clear and cannot be counted on as I understand it.
And the way the bill is written it could be applied to gardens and small and organic farmers.
As we know the FDA is raiding organic raw milk dairies illegally and they have a history of
raiding health food stores and confiscating huge quantities of product. The concern is that
the bill as written will give them permission to rev up this goon squad type of activity.
The 10 yr imprisonment is an unconscionable clause particularly as we know it will not be
applied to the large agribiz farms.
That is my understanding.
