Since Google shows only 3 hits for the link you mentioned,
it's probably fake. (Find "updatesg.com").
Might be misleading for updatecg.com/, from McAfee.

Personally I wouldn't download any patches!!!! Where did the post come from ? Out of the blue in an email? Junk it!!!
Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and check out your whole system. It's free. If there is anything dodgy this will find and deal with it. Warning it takes a long time to download and work!!

Thanks Hennie, I hadn't thought to do that. :-/

I googled on the top line ("ATTENTION ! ... computer !"), which brought up a Skype blog discussion about it, and they're saying don't worry, it's just spam. Thanks!

Actually, it came via Skype, which is the only reason I gave a second look. I didn't know Skype carries spammers too! Argh, beam me up... :P

Hi Shannon,

The skype updates I receive "arrive" in a separate window (NOT an email) when I open skype.

It gives a choice of updating now or later or never.

Yes, it came in a skype window (I usually leave it open), not in an email.
