[Hom-Media] Interesting Guardian article -Randi

Dear colleagues

I have a couple of observations of James Randi's actions.

When Nature went to Jacque beneviste's labs to double check the work, Randi did the 'double blind'
labelling of the samples.

What came out of the results was a supposed 'hotch-potch' and that fact was used to discredit JB
which cost him dearly. (He had been nominated for the Nobel prize - all of which went up in puff of
smoke! See below.).

Now what is Randi's profession, he is a magician and master of the 'slight of hand' trick.
So did he mislabel / switch sample vials?

Prof Iris Bell's re-check of Beneviste's work had been replicated in many university labs.

However when BBC's Horizon supposedly carried out the experiment (Prof Iris Bell's re-check of
Beneviste's work), apart from the fact that they did not stick to the experimental method, the
samples were again labelled in a double blind process and sent to two labs for analysis.

Again a 'hotch potch' of results came through and this was once again used to discredit homeopathy.
Once again Randi's million dollars was safe.

But wait a minute. The results were not a 'hotch potch'!
They actually showed a mirror similarity of results from the two labs and importantly showed two
things.

SOME of the diluted and potentised distilled water had an action on basophils whereas SOME of the
diluted substance (histamine) did not.

HELLO??
Some of the Water samples - diluted and potentised - acts on the basophils and kills them but some
of the active material (histamine) similarly diluted and potentised does not? And we are getting a
mirror picture from the two labs.

Any forensic scientist's antenae will go high up suspecting a mis-labelling - either intensionally
or in error or some under 'under-hand' action.

Keep on smiling folks and mind the water you are drinking as it will kill your basophils, you will
then be left defenceless and die!!
You have been warned.
