Hospital), The Hague, Netherlands, will start using hypnosis
for children on a large scale.
They found that 85% of children with unaccountable abdominal
pain are well within a year, as opposed to 25%, treated with
regular drugs.
The quack busters and such jumped on this, saying there is
no scientific proof for hypnosis.
In not so many words the hospital stated it prefers results
over scientific proof.
There's hope.

There is plenty of ‘scientific proof’ concerning the efficacy of hypnosis – so once again the quack busters are quacking up the wrong tree.
A Comparison Study found:
* Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
* Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
* Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions

I'm guessing that "600 sessions" should have read "6 sessions"??? :-O )

The current status of hypnosis in US hospitals is completely uneven – it is allowed and even encouraged in some, and not encouraged in others.

That's OK.
I only mentioned it to indicate that if 'they' prefer
results over scientific proof, this might give an opening
for homeopathy (on the same basis).
