Back pain and blindness right eye
Posted: Thu Aug 26, 2010 7:43 pm
I am repping a friend of mine and would very much appreciate your help. There are no classical homeopaths available or affordable where I am in Peru, so I am the best she's got. I would be grateful for any ideas or suggestions.
I'm posting the summary of her symptoms below. But in particular, I would like to consult you on the following rubrics.
1. I am inclined towards Rhus-t or Bry for the back pain. But not much of Rhus-t or Bry matches the eye symptoms. I also like Phos or Gels because of the retinal detachment match, but am unsure about the match to the back pain symptoms (esp Gels).
2. If I go with the back pain as a priority, I can't decide between Rhus t or Bry. Bry matches back pains, dry mouth, bitter mouth, sore eyeballs, better warm drinks. But she is better with movement and isn't thirsty. Rhus-t matches back pains, blindness, heavy limbs, dry mouth, bitter mouth, and some modalities. Any suggestions?
3. I can't seem to find the rubric for Eye, loss of vision, right eye. Or maybe the remedies are the same for loss of vision in either or both eyes?
4. Left eye protrudes, looks larger than right eye. Arnica has "right eye protrudes, looks larger than left." Is there a remedy that matches the left eye? I am also wondering about Arnica because loss of vision occurred after a bang on her forehead. But she doesn't seem to have any of the mind symptoms of Arnica--no trauma about it.
5. Rubric for foamy saliva?
Thanks!
Helen

Summary of symptoms, in order of severity and urgency.
Back
Pain, lumbar, drawing or pulling, as if muscle were separating from bone, 5 on a scale of 10, constant
extending to butt muscles
better with movement, massage
worse afternoons
better lying down vs sitting or standing
prevents her from working, so resolving this pain is urgent
Pain, dorsal, dull ache, mild and occasional, unrelated to lumbar pain
Spasms?, lumbar, spasm-like jerks in spine
Eye/Vision
Loss of vision (blindness), right eye. Eye had experienced retinal detachment. Vision was restored after surgery. A year later, she accidentally banged her head and lost complete vision in same eye.
