Dear all,
'Hahnemaniacs' group which is organized by Lois Hoffer
is an excellent group for studying Organon on the
basis of its German version.
Following is the description of the group from its
website: http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/hahnemaniacs
Join and enjoy!

This group's purpose is to bring people together who
are
interested in going back to the basics: to Hahnemann's
own
writings in the original German, re-translated for
clarity
and transparency, carefully and meaningfully analyzed.
The emphasis is on maximum seriousness: building a
firm
foundation on fact and observation, referring to pure
experience to make sense of what we've seen and of
what
Hahnemann says, while keeping observation clearly
separate
from opinion or interpretation as much as possible.
We started by working through the Preface and
Introduction,
looking at the words for "life force" and their
meanings in
context, and then going back to look at "disease".
Partway
through the Intro, we began to study the text word by
word,
and we are now working through the Aphorisms (We're at
Aph 31,
as of Feb 1, 2002). The interlinear translations done
so
far are available to the general public at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Hahnemani ... g-menu.htm
You do not need to speak German in order to
participate, as
the goal is to make a basic understanding of
Hahnemann's
sentences clear to all English speakers. All questions
and
disagreement are welcome, if intended to promote
understanding
of the topic. This group is primarily for a study of
the 6th Organon,
and NOT for the discussion of clinical cases or of
homeopathic topics,
as there are many other groups available for that
purpose.
