Has anyone ever treated anyone who has vasovagal attacks from menses pain? Virburnum op looks interesting!! Sounds to me as if it is an hysterical thing. She also had an attack when she had a hysteroscopy recently.
Thanks

I had a case of a teenager who fainted at the sight of her own menstrual blood and this would be covered by so called vasovagal attack - it is like everything you need to know the cause, triggers, and the individuality.

Thanks for those Robyn as I hadn't thought of them. I found
Female; DYSMENORRHEA, painful menses; nausea, and vomiting, with (5)
She gets vomiting and a loose stool with it.

With this patient it appears to be just the pain . It's not just the fainting- she vomits and has a loose stool before passing out.

Interestingly she has ticked the alcohol dependency box on my case taking form but we didn't mention this. I said that if she returned after the first menses after her operation I would do a full case taking. So we will see!!
