If you're sure of the remedy, check if px is antidoting in some way. If you don't want to move up the LM scale yet, you can strengthen the existing bottle by adding an additional grain of the Ars, by increasing the number of succussions and the number of teaspoon doses taken.

In old chronics sometimes it can take a while for reaction to appear, and although I'll usually expect to see something, however slight, within two weeks, I know other very good homeopaths who will carry on dosing for four or five weeks till reaction. Double check your patient's report to you - sometimes they don't think to mention elements of change that are enough to confirm a remedy choice.

Personally I wouldn't move from LM to 6C, especially if he didn't aggravate from LM. Check the pharmacy also where the remedy was prepared, and that the remedy isn't being kept somewhere inappropriate - right next to a computer, in the sun etc.
