eczema without eruption

Dear All,
yeah, i know it sounds weird, but has anyone ever heard of this condition?
a patient recently developed (re-surfaced?) a kind of eczema - which appeared after some cleansing which heightened (exposed?) her sensitivity to certain foods (wheat, tomato, etc).
the "eczema" eruption is generally around joints - ankles, elbows, knees. it's in small patches and is dry but very itchy when she veres off and eats some bread, etc.
Oddly, however at the groin (in the fold of the thigh, not genitals) there is intense itching but no visible eruption.
Anyone ever heard of that kind of thing?
Remedy-wise graphites seems to help but not cure (yet). Constitutionally she's in the carb & lyc-calc -sulphur triad. Any special clues or pointers?
Sincerely,
