Minutus

Am treating an elderly lady who has chronic spinal distortion and twisted feet. She has also had a heart bypass due to heart failure.
She is on b/p meds and statins, which she was advised to take because of the heart op. She also has a tendency to anaemia that is not, apparently, due to poor absorption or pernicious anaemia and for which she has iron periodically. A mystery as to why she gets it

She is suffering from poor circulation to the feet. There is a tendency to cellulitis and oedema and to ulceration. So far she has had a lot of remedies for various acutes, ulcer related and chest related. She is always on crataegus tincture. Constitutionally, I have favoured Pulsatilla but have recently given her syphylinum. She has been told that the arteries are in such a state that a stent would be impossible and doctors are now just looking at pain relief.

The main aetiology to me is wear and tear compounded by the skeletal problems over the years.

I wonder if there is any other organ specific apart from the Crataegus that i should be looking at. We have tried hamamelis and secale. Or...?

Personally I would be checking out the side effects of the statins - if not = anaemia they will almost certainly cause a lot of other damage. Other than that there are a huge host of rx that could be the simillimum for this case - which appears to be centred about the heart - you won't cure the poor circulation to the feet without helping the heart and its arteries and for that the full case has to be known.

What dx has actually been given with regard to her arteries?

Since so much is beyond the energetic realm (I mean, e.g. the twisted feet, damage to heart), I wonder if it might make sense to look at "crude" nutrition as well, e.g. wonder if a protein supplement might help her? Avoiding allergens of course, and I'd be particularly looking at either pre-digested or extra-digestible ones. It can help with edema, joint repair, tissue repair, organ repair... And possibly cell salts?

I gave a patient who was getting 'senile gangrene' the Indian
equavalent of Viagra. Though he has left Delhi, his nephew
said the meds did him a lot of good.
I gave him Crat MT and Viagra equivalent (the name escapes me).

Not sure about the Viagra, though. People come to me for an alternative to allopathic medication! It’s a bit dodgy with people who have had heart disease anyway, isn’t it? I can see that if the heart was ok it might help dilate the arteries and veins in the legs ........
